We get blue banned bees in our yard here in WA. They love Lavender! Plus lots off native wasps and hover flys birds..

I will add penstemon to these great choices. I have several of them flowering now in Melbourne. Bees land at the entrance to the tubular flowers and crawl right in and emerge when they have had their fill. Canary island smoke bush (Bystropogon canariensis) when in full bloom, is irresistible to bees. People should also provide shallow water bowls nearby in shade, hose down foliage on shrubs on hot days, and provide a constantly wet, muddy patch of soil nearby. Bees need water in the hot summers and these are just a few ways that we can provide it.

Spot on with the water comment, since the drought and fires this is even more important.

I love your voice! Very bright but also calming, and it sounds like you have the slightest lisp which is super charming (developing a lisp was the only thing I liked about having braces haha). Great video, short and sweet but also informative. Subscribed 🌻 can't wait to get some bees and butterflies in my yard.

Good stuff, but where are the natives?!

How about trying some native/endemic species to attract local pollinators? Radical I know...

Hey Sophie 🙋 I wonder do you collect seed from your pollinator attractants? I'd love to buy some 😉 Your segments are my favourite Lynda 💓
