ATV 2020 Kymco Mongoose 270 CVT limiter

The Kymco Mongoose 270 is a great atv. Needless to say that my son wanted it faster, after days of research looking on KZbin and the manual, Beside throttle screw, I haven't found anything on how to eliminate the limiter. So I start playing with the machine and this is what I found. I hope this helps and enjoy the video. This is my first video and I am not a great video editor. The ONLY thing I would recommend is that everyone look up the torque values and torque that clutch back on other than that this is a helluva good video

I got a 2018 kymco 270 mongoose, I like it.

I got a maxxer 300 wich is similar , it goes 60 mph , i added malossi variator and rollers, malossi fixed half , and a 24mm belt ( stock is 22) it went from 85 kmph to 100kmph and gained a lot of acceleration

This will in 1000 km to 1500 km destroy your CVT. If it was really bad, it can destroy the crankshaft (Kurbelwelle) of the Motor. But you can use DR. Pulley weight "Rolls" (they are not really Rolls). They will slide better and the belt gets higher in the CVT too. Because they slide much better you will not loose power at low speed. In the carburetor was a little peace of plastic, it makes the hole tighter. You found it between the carburetor and the Engine. Now use a bigger exhaust and a bigger air fillter. A bigger air intake. Use in the carburetor a little bit bigger main jet (main carburetor nozzle /Hauptdüse) a bigger diameter, so the carburetor putts more fuel to the air. Its better for the motor. Its prevent the motor from overheating. I worked over 5 years as a mechanik at a official kymco dealer. Please excuse my bad english, if you have questions i will answer in german and we translate it togehter with google translate Best wishes from Germany Klaus

I did a little research and came across someone who said to add this Boss Driven Face (collar) part # 22105-LBA7-900. And it will bring it to Kymco 300 speeds. I ordered mine but won’t come for 2 weeks. Said should do 40+ with the spacers taken out and this part put in.

Question bro. I have 2 of these Kymcos 270. My son did the removal of the rings. He put everything back and when we tested the unit it made a noise. He didn't tighten the nut enough so the wheel hit the cover. Atv is faster but doesn't have the same take off ass my other one. Any suggestions. Thanks

Yes kymco is pretty good. I’ve got some videos on my channel of it. It’s a good little atv. I’m talking about the kymco 270 mxu. The mongoose is probably same thing different plastics

If you ask the dealership will remove the limiter. At least they did for the 270 mxu.
