ATV Idents 1950s - 1980s

One that's been on the social media since 2019, but as its causing discussion here on YT we thought we'd upload it with a little more detail.
The clips come from Polygram tapes (former ATV archive owners) and feature idents retained on programmes. The first - which has been of debate is from 'The Bob Hope Show' and the yellow 'ATV Midlands' is from Kraft Music Hall. All programmes still survive in full today.
As there were several variations of the early ones just a sample is included. Also, note the black and white zoom. While often used to introduce films in the 1970s which were monochrome, it does actually exist on a number of programmes which for whatever reason were made in black and white during 1969-71.

There was never any need for ATV to be forced to change its name. What changed apart from it being called Central - the same programmes, the same presenters. And yet they had to have the audacity to say it was a completely new company as the ATV shareholding was reduced and then Holmes-a-Court sold the whole thing off
