I think what Dusty means to say is "Paul was a good friend until I stabbed him in the back." It's really convenient how Dusty forgets that Paul was a pretty nice guy until Dusty and Rose stabbed Paul in the back. Dusty running around town acting holier than thou is laughable.

I'm sick of Emily. She is delusional. Paul NEVER loved her. Why doesn't she seem able to understand that? Really liking him and Meg though!

Wrong about Paul not ever loving Emily your wrong wrong about that completely as I have the proof in the time period and episodes and the, writer who wrote it. So time to school you some more about the actaul history of the show do time to take a trip back to 1989 and what I call Doug marland oakdale land where Paul and Emily first slept together and led up to Paul shooting and killing his father James stenbeck to save Emilies life now let's fast forward to summer 1990 Doug Marland oakdale land where Andy Dixon and Paul Ryan were best buddies not Paul and dusty as dusty was not even on the show. And that's when paul and Emily finally were brought together and got engaged in November 1990. But Barbara as usaul was using a character called gavin Krueger to scheme to break up Paul and Emily by sending Emily to Los Angeles whiched worked. But as usaul Barbara with her stubid hatred for Emily did not realize that Gavin Krueger just wanted to get his hands on Paul's inheratence money from James. If anything you can blame Doug Marlands death for you not liking Emily but do not take it out on the charecter or actor it always comes down to the headwriter and executive producer. And that's who I blame for all this charecter assignations that started again around march of 1997 and just was continuous in diferent ways right up until the show ended.

And I don't like Paul and Meg at all again because Doug marland would have never written that he would have done a Meg dusty redo as he wrote the original Meg dusty pairing in 1986. Ans Douglas wanted Paul and Emily together period and one thing you did not do was mess with his pairings or try to cross him when he was alive. ABC found that out in 1985 Gail kobe found that out at guiding light in early 1983 Allan potter discovered that in 1982 when Douglas hid out in Nantucket to protect his scripts after he discovered they were messing with his stories and that's what I call integrity.

I still can not believe how clueless most of you are commenting about the actual history of the show or the Doug Marland period concerning the show you all pretend with you comments like atwt did not exist before 1997 with Felicia minie behrs stubid stuff or did not exist before aw ended in 1999. And Chris goutman came over or think hunt block was the real Craig Montgomery or Marie Wilson was the real Meg so I offer a challenge to you next time why don't you go back and actually watch what Doug Marland wrote first then go up to this period and you will realize how disgusting this, stuff is compared to what Doug Marland wrote because I have seen it long time Doug Marland fans also have had problems with it too especially with the excessive recasts of the later years. And the sloppiness concerning ignoring history I had this discussion 2 weeks ago with several you tubers discussing this during episodes from 1992 while Douglas was still alive yes did Douglas make mistakes absolutely but even his darkest story which was the Daryl Crawford storyline was still 10 times better than this stuff or the hogan sheffer stuff. And that's a fact.
