Why are they tuned so high, especially when concert pitch was lower than it is today? Did they ever make tunable reeds?

I usually never comment but that was amazing.. On our Harmonium you sadly can only make left and right hand louder, not seperate, and it only has 4 sounding stops

Videos I was waiting for for years . Franck, Guilmant etc.....would not ave written anyting for armonium if tis was te dull instrument we can still find in some catolic building basements .Nort american instruments are not like european ones. Big difference between tem.
