What drives me crazy is when Brian Kelly was HC at Notre Dame they forced a student to film practice on a hydraulic lift in 60 mph winds that blew it over and killed him. ND was found at fault “The details were released as IOSHA fined Notre Dame $77,500 for six safety violations tied to Sullivan's death, including knowingly putting its employees in an unsafe situation. The junior from Long Grove, Ill., was killed when the hydraulic lift toppled in gusts of up to 53 mph while he was filming football practice.” No one says a WORD about this egregious negligence!!!!!

It’s just the same every offseason. Everyone is awesome. I’m sure durkin can coach but I see a glaring weakness in the front 4. Take #15 off the d line and it’s a conference USA level d line. It’s so hard to win with no d line, an average o line and no qb. Love the show though. Auburn needs some positivity and your show gives me hope even if it’s only for a minute.

I don’t understand why we let any coaches or players get in front of the media. I could especially do away with coach freezes postgame press conferences where he deflects and says things like “ I didn’t have any input in the gameplan this week. “ I don’t think about the games until 15 minutes before kickoff “. We have nothing to gain to put coaches or players in front of a microphone.

One: the article is an opinion article. So, you can expect opinions not necessarily facts. Two: it’s not a hit piece, because Durkin was let go amid questions of toxic culture at Maryland - specifically related to the strength and conditioning coach - backed up by statements made by players. If Durkin allowed that to go on, then he was supporting a culture which was not looked upon favorably. I assume he did as he was let go. Reading the ESPN article gives a somewhat harsh critique of Durkin and his response to a player’s death when season workouts began. The questions raised are no different than what should be expected of any coach hired at any major university wherein they had some difficulties at previous stops. Plus, when you add that Auburn hired Freeze, who had his own issues of a somewhat “moral” nature, it becomes even MORE expected.
