That quick intro music was a great find. 😀👍 So many awesome dishes this episode! *_oysters_* - I prefer raw with a tiny bit of condiment but definitely enjoy them embellished like here. *_tartare_* - Lots of beef over the years but never tried venison tartare. Sounds interesting. *_cordon bleu_* - Give me a break! That looks like the ultimate comfort dish. Mmm, mmm. 👏 All the dishes you tried at Gochu were stunning. Even the cucumbers. And those sliders at 3:03. All I need. 😀 *_hotteok_* - Hoping it would be served in a smashed paper cup like in Korea but these are too large I suppose. Ha. *_pork spine soup_* - Cool. I asked about the Thai version a couple of months ago when you had a boil up. Happy Chef would be right up my alley. *_Fantastic episode, guys._* I say that all the time but this was truly outstanding. I love traditional, classic, humble and no-nonsense as much as the next guy but contemporary, modern and haute are equally as important to me with respect to dining. This covered it all.

I like your channel. My mum used to have Gamjatang specialty restaurants for more than 40years. So I know very well about recipe. Let me fix important things. That's green perilla seed powder and green perilla leaves in Gamjatang. That's not sesame seed powder. Korean never use sesame seed in Gamjatang. It taste and scent n color, benefits is very different each other. Also Green perilla is very different to purple perilla as well. Only Korean eat green perilla on this earth. Green perilla is super food. It helps Detox, lots of omega 3, Anti-aging, helps high cholesterol to normal, Skin rejuvenate, diabetic, dementia, brain health.... It has so many good benefits in there. If teenagers takes green perilla often, it helps study as well. And Korean never use Gochujang(chilly paste) in Gamjatang. Because it's sweet n sometimes makes bitter taste. That's Doenjang (soybean paste) and chilly powder. If you guys want to know all about the Korean foods recipes with English, I highly recommend Maangchi's KZbin channel. She is very good cook. You can cook all street foods, kimch, even makgerly as well.

Have you tried South African or Ethiopian foo?
@ChasingaPlate Жыл бұрын
We sure have! There’s not much on the channel of it though- only bunny chow which we ate a couple of years ago that’s since closed. We have both Ethiopian and more South African spots on the list to visit though! Do you live in NZ and if so where do you like to go for either cuisines? Thanks for watching! Cheers, Sheena

I have just watched about 4 or 5 of your vids and I can't get enough and now the bubble with NZ has been compromised and I'm waiting on the vaccine , it's going to be a very long wait until I get off that bloody plane in Auckland. I have people in Wst Samoa I want to see ( done that 8 times ) want to go to Bora Bora and a few other places in the Pacific and got a house to build in Lovina Bali for 4 guys all retired to chill out , and no we are not gay but 2 of us love food and cooking . Keep the vids coming guys and can't wait to get to NZ , cheers Alister.

Hi Alister, thanks so much for watching! We’re so happy you’re loving our videos 😍 That travel bubble can’t come quick enough- we’d love to see more of the Pacific and do some filming. A place in Bali sounds like paradise- great local food and a retreat to chill out and cook sounds a dream! Hope you enjoy what we have coming up on the channel mate. Thanks for taking the time to write! Cheers, Sheena

@@ChasingaPlate Thank you to you guys for making such great material! Have you ever tried Ziba Cafe in Henderson? It’s a Persian place and apparently the only place that makes traditional Persian Sangkak bread. They make it in the cafe and send it around the country to the Iranian/Persian community. In the restaurant they do the standard Persian Skewers beautifully, but also a couple of unique stews. One in which you get your own mortar and pestle at the table and mash in dried limes. So good, and a lovely little spot in the middle of the Henderson shops.
