no, but we will be instituting a report as the occasional checking in on Auction Insights is not enough.

Thanks, this is very helpful. Tip: you can use the segment option in the top right of the auction insights page to show the data by day/week/etc and download the data with dates already included.

Always good to understand "why" you're doing something instead of just making a report to make a report. Maybe you are an advanced user, I certainly think it would be a good idea to have KZbin create an index of the video and advertisers can build that table of contents. Neverthless, he raise a lot of awareness about how to use the report either respond to a competitor and knowing you'll need to look at your competitor (either new or existing) before reacting. Reacting period would not be 100% decide just in the report. In the effort of trying to "convert" your traffic, if your competitor (esp existing ones) is experimenting with a call-to-action or promotion, they need the traffic to test ad copy and or promotion. So in that scenario, you don't want to just increase your bids and over pay for traffic that you'd get normally. It might even be better to spend even cheaper with adjusting target impression share. If there's a scenario where click-thru-traffic gets frustrated, you'd potentially pick up high quality and motivated traffic that would convert and covert at a reasonable cost.

I'll look at a search results page to gather promotional data that's happening and adjust quite frequently. Also might learn ad copy to adjust or even compete with!

Thanks so much it’s very helpful. I do have two questions: 1. Why did you not change the first two columns (around 18 minute mark - bulb and businesscomparison) into percentages? 2. My Display URL section on my chart does not have the drop down filtering box where I can just see a specific company compared to mine for an example- I can only see the full data with all the companies - how come?

Hi, Just wondering. Within the Google Ads platform, you can also segment based on date, so you can see your monthly results within the platform. Why download them per month? And not segment them based on the month..

I just checked my Auction Insights for a competitor campaign that I run. There was no info, no one else was bidding on any of those keywords. So I changed the campaign from maximize conversions to manual cpc and dropped my bid to $.50. Is this the right thing to do? If no one else is bidding on the keywords, couldn't I bid $.01 and still have my ad show?

Hi Darren, i noticed in the video at 1:56 that your (overlap rate) and (out ranking share) are blanked. Mine does not show up as well, what does this mean?? These two collums has been blanked for me for over a year now, does that mean that i am overwhelming my competitors ???

Hi Darren, great value man! Have you used Google optimize in your agency? I've niched my ad groups but I have to create several landing pages just create relevancy. I was wondering if I could use Google Optimize as a shortcut. Will that hurt my quality score?

I have used Google Optimize and have a course coming out on it in the next week. Use Google Optimize for sure as a quick way, but the benefit of creating each page means the URL is also more relevant, every little helps. Use Optimize to learn and test, but I would manually create new niche pages.

Does your PPC accelerator course get someone prepared enough to become Google ads certified? I saw your video on the actual certification and I agree but like you said, something to do to check off the box. I was starting g over the Google provided materials but they are sooo dry I cant focus.

Haha that's a common complaint. It won't necessarily answer some of the questions, as some of what I teach goes against Google (Google thinks they are always right). But you'll definitely learn how to run successful campaigns
