I see what you were trying to do with the arty and I would argue that it would have been a bad play vs an armor deck. Armor is more mobile and armored so the HE splashes aren’t as lethal. Also with the double arty at the beginning you are saying “I want to use my arty aggressively” but you used it waaaay too defensively. You mainly used it against targets you spotted that were attacking your line, the problem with that was that you needed to fix them in position for the arty to hit and you just didn’t have the firepower to pin them so the Brits were able to move to cover, fall back or died by the inf/bmps that the arty was late (this type of defensive arty is better job for mortars). The Akatsyias would have been better used if you had a recon a bit more forward of you line trying to spot hard points that the Brit was in or find the areas that they were leaving units to rally, and hit them with arty to shake em up. Hell I would go as far to say that a recon unit would be nice, it wouldn’t be super necessary. You got 2 arty guns next to a FOB, don’t wait to see the enemy just smack where you think they are. The building is a good building to hide in, arty it. Helicopters are landing behind that tree line, arty it. Tanks are clustering around this square, arty it. He is reinforcing the point coming down this road, arty it. You needed to put the pressure on him and keep his troops shaken with the arty rather than wait for them to show up at your line.

yeah I think it was important to stabilize the line first and then aggressively arty positions once everything was reasonably safe, imo the situation was so fluid and chich was pushing so hard and fast that it would have been really difficult to get enough value from an early arty buy hitting the road would have really messed with him for sure though, and keeping the guns working might not have really been feasible in this game but in a situation where downtime could be minimized I think the fob is probs worth it

Several problems with this strat: 1)You dont need a FOB, for a 30min game trucks would be sufficient 2)If you want active support, you need stuff with low aim time. Vulcan took the heaviest arty, not really meant for active support, but for sniping emplacements. 26s aim time is just wrong. 3)He opted for a no AA(zero) opening, which would be crushing no matter what

I feel like running a fob with a Heli centered deck would be far more consistent compared to trying to get value from arty. Cause like if you think about it, running a fob basically means you want to stall, but to stall you need your opponent to properly feel the pressure. An arty just isn't strong enough for area denial.

seems like you would have benefitted from some radar AA as well, might have helped stop those early game harrier runs and preserved some infantry on the left push.

That IGLA at 17:50 managed to snipe that jet after the Kubs used their all ammo. Well done boys. Those tornados are slightly terrifying when the AA keeps missing and there's nothing really you can do about them.

Damn, losing was one thing, but waiting for arty to fire when you needed it the most was another layer of painfulness, and when it landed doing about jack shit and nothing to tanks and AA is already adding insult to injury much less the opponent just dodging them. I think Eugen needs to turn the brightness down a little on artillery and make the shells land faster.

The problem with the strategy is the Akatsiyas tok too long to aim, making it most suitable for pre-firing. If youre playing UK with Aboots, you would have better chance using the strat.

For me the FOB was not the mistake but the choice of arty was . Those arty pieces are useless in 1v1 because in warno they deal no real splash damage , is you had the grads instead at the start you would have done more damage since they fire more projectiles and more dispersion so you end up itting those units when they're running away like that fist spaa you missed early . in 1v1 those big arty peices like the giatnts(got the name wrong i guess) seems to be more useful

You figure a fob is even necessary for a howitzer play? Like for mlrs I get it but feel like a card of good logistic trucks could service those just fine and then some while you can have a stronger opener

At 22:19 mark your T-80BVK gets killed by an atgm - while it’s still flashing as if it was hidden in cover. Did they make tweaks about showing you when your units are seen? Why did the missile hit if it was “flashing”?

this match is good example how your troops missed everything while enemy pretty much hit everything, too much random to be serious game. they should at least add some cohesion loss when missiles fly by.

That's one of the bigger problems of this game compared to SD2. AA is super random. Depending on RNG, it may have no effect at all, wasting all your points.
