AP shouldn’t plate their white gold. Grey gold, in the raw, looks better with its slightly yellow’ish tinge. I think AP could be successful with a revamped Jules Audemars line up. Offer them in every metal, choice of simple or with complications, dozens of dial colors, dozens of straps/strap stitching choices, etc. I’ll take mine in steel, salmon dial, and blued steel dial hardware.

I love the brilliant white of the platinum family but the way it scratches is not good imo. I like this watch honestly, would love a little bit more WR so I can swim with it. A revamped Jules Audemars line as you described would be attractive.

@@jolness1 my whole thought - if they want it in ultra white then just do it in platinum or stainless steel. But grey gold has its own unique appearance - why alter that appearance when solid versions metal versions offer that appearance that they’re trying to alter it to?

From 20 feet away, looks like a Seiko, but in the form factor of a can of tuna. AP desperately needs something other than Royal Oak but this ain’t it

I remember when everyone said the Rolex Daytona design was a flop, and when I was offered a free Daytona if i purchased the President and AP RO sold at a discount. The 11.59 will turn out to be a success.
