39mm is definitely more proportionate on the ROC. 41mm has more wrist presence though.

I know why it has a closed caseback, because it does not have a propietary movement, it has a movement made by Manufacture Blancpain (previously called Frederic Piguet), the caliber number is 1185 and AP calls it caliber "AP1185", that's why ;)

I feel AP's yellow gold is something much for subtle and yet hold's its image well compared to other yellow gold watches out there. I personally own a yellow gold AP perpetual calendar and i always can't stop looking at it. I don't even look at the time. Just the smallest details on the perpetual yellow gold. Same story here, AP Chrono YG (just like on the video). It's very striky gold, its defiantly more 'white' compared to DayDate 40 YG, which is a plus for me. And yes, brushed gold links scratch like crazy. Overall very unusual watch. P.S. YG Perpetual is one hell of a watch!

I completely agree with that yellow hue. It looks "off". Stunning watch for sure, and that AP bracelet I consider it to be the best. As a watch its too flashy for us europeans. Here, yellow gold watches tend to be considered nouveau rich or a middle-east thing at best, or something a mafioso would wear at worst.

The Audemars Piguet Royal oak Chrono 41 mm watch is a beautiful and powerful watch or like Eric say a heavy hitter. I call this watch the Fort Knox gold brick watch. If you like the Royal Oak, that's a nice looking watch. I have to agree about the tone, that even comes across in the video. It does look a little brassy. For that kind of money, I'd be looking at a ALS Datograph or Glushutte Panoretrograph, but neither of those are close to as robust as the AP.

Eric.. I 100% agree with you regarding the "brass" look of AP's yellow gold. I don't like it (when I first saw it, I actually made the jeweler prove to me that it was indeed 18K gold). Meanwhile, a new yellow gold Rolex Submariner with a blue dial is spectacular IMHO.

YG is gaudy IMO, I have the 41mm non-chrono version in stainless and RG. I prefer the cleaner non-chrono dial, it shows off the amazing AP tapestry better. The RG with the blue dial is epic... I love both of these watches, but still wear my AP offshore diver (with the SS bracelet) more than any other. I prefer my AP’s more than all the other brands I own!

Eric, you're a little tough on their yellow gold. It's different from Rolex, but kind of works with the AP bracelet. its a wider bracelet and a big watch so maybe this type of shine fits in well

I love blue dial watches. Im still into the 3 same size circles in AP tho. I do prefer the rose gold AP since i like the yellow gold in rolex more as the yachmaster and submariner. Still the yellow gold AP looks nice aswell. Maybe in the future if i decide to have a big blue yellow gold collection i may sell or trade the rose gold in order to obtain the yellow one. Ps: Probably i will keep the rose and get the yellow aswell. Im not that much of a watch seller. What i can say i love all my watches.

Had the 26320 in yellow gold and updated to an AP brick also in yellow gold. The lighter blue dial makes the gold pop, and overall is the best YG AP has produced, bar none
