I had that one allready. It's an awesome turbo. Full Boost at 4500rpm and the sound is incredible!!! When you turn the engine off, you can still hear the turbo turning round and round... I have decided to try another one. I now drive a PERCISION PT42. They say it should be a bit better than the Garrett, but I can't say that for sure. Tomorrow first drive with that one, I will let you know...

That is true, of course I am in a very small group. At this time there are not more than 600 Audi 200 20V's on the worlds street, so you see it is a very rare care. Some people cannot even make the difference between a 200 20V and a normal Audi 100. With this car Audi made the step into 4-wheel drive (and the Urquattro) for a everyday car. So it's something very special (for me!!!)

You're right, my German friend. And to get the same HP, the Audi probably has a red line of 18 zillion RPM while the Viper has a red line of 6500 RPM. Small engine => higher revs => more wear and tear => more time in the shop instead of on the road.

The last of line 2.2L that was used in the RS2 was made frome some strange alloy, but I don't remember what kind of. It proved to be very reliable, as well as upgradable. There are some of them with more than 900 hp, but is quite common to tune them up to 600hp.

Hey! I totally agree with you. The Audi in the Video is mine, so I absolutely know what I'm talikng about. But you can't relate a viper and an Audi. There are two absolutely different kinds of cars. The Viper is made to hit the track, the Audi Quattro 5 Cylinder Turbo was made for rallys. Keep that in mind! And talking about periodic maintenance

Its one thing to tune a car with less money. I know all those guys. Big Turbo thats all they can buy, but to create a really good car, that can take advantage to a viper is bit more complicated. And don't forget, this machine is now 25 years old, has more than half of ccm than a viper!

The best Audi engine is the 5 cylinder 20v, the most powerful "civil" version of it was used on the RS2 with a modified block, ECU, and two big turbocompressors, what made it the fastes accelerating car of its time (even ahead of the F1 cars). But the 100 series (wich includes de 200) is by far the most beautiful and aerodynamic, the shape of its body was based on that of the legendary NSU Ro 80 design.

Yes, the ENZo is a 4-Wheel Ferrari with 650 Hp. Enzo and Hohenester are frineds, and once they had a beer together and and H. said, that his Sportquattro will beat the ENZO. ENZO just laughed, and they had their bet. The Audi won the 1/4 and run from 0-100 :-)

Yeah I do. 1) It was my car and took a long time to built it 2) It's fun to give idiots that do not know anything about Audi a lesson in what Audi did for motorsport way before others did. I like the viper a lot! All people here think I hate it, thats wrong! But I do prefer the Audi. I love mid-80t's Cars, and it's fun to see such an old car beating up a viper. The 20V engine got a lot of power and although it doesn't look like a sports car like the Viper, the power can be risen by simply raising the turbocharger pressure. Secondly the four-wheel drive assures a good start..

No, it wasn't. But the Sportquattro, and Urquattro were! And yes, the 25 valve head was tested a few times, bit it did not worked the way, the engeneers wanted it, so it just had a very short time in racing. I'm not sure if t was in the TALLADEGA Audi 200 or in another one...

The R8 is such expensive because its an homage to the 60's or 70's and it has an middleengine. They wanted it such expensive to be exclusive. I think the car you are talking about could be the new RS6. V10 6.0L Bi-Turbo nearly 600hp and by the way... A lot cheaper!

the viper is NOT a racer. its a street car with alot of hp. and even though the viper is not known for its cornering ability in street trim, lets put it on a road course against the sudi. But, you are right. you like one, i like the other. the lack of corners is what i find appealing about the viper.

That Turbo is still a stock Audi Turbo. Not in that car, but in the Sportquattro (which has originally 306hp). If you chose a Garrett Gt 42 you can do easy up to 800+hp. I own a 200 20V like this one in the video, but only with a small step 400hp, it's a great car...

Den kenn ich. Das ist so ziemlich das schnellste was es an 5 Zylindern gibt. Echt unglaublich das Teil. Aber bei der Leistung muss man schon ehrlich sein, da wird man viel dran zu revidieren haben wenn man damit ein paar mal die Viertelmeile abgerissen hat. Ich habs bei meinem 200er bei 550Ps belassen. Das geht schon sehr gut, und man kann es fahren wie ein EverydayCar

I understand, and I know what you mean, but anyways... I like it. For me, theres a great difference between a pimped car, and my black Audi here. The Audi is tuned, thats right, but its a everyday car, and I had not a single breakdown in the last 40.000 miles. Maybe you feel better if we do not call it Audi 200 anymore, cause it isnt a "normal" Audi anymore. You will laugh, but I'm not scared of the Veyron. The Hohenester Sportquattro allready won against the ENZO (not in Top speed, but drag R.)

The M5 And RS6 are both good cars. Depends on what you want. I prefer Turbopower cause there is less modification to do if you want more Hp. Just more boost and there you have 100hp+

Alloy was only used on the Sportquattro and it sucked. It couldn't even handle the stock of 306 hp. But I know, that they used the alloy body in some stock Audi 100/200 too, but not alot. Its the same thing with Urquattros. At the end of the production there were not enough machines with motorcode RR so they took 3B

Well, if that's the case... the fastest street legal car is a 1972 Vauxhall Victor that puts up high 7's. No car around is coming close to that. Not even the Audi. Except, for that 2.2L to make 240 hp, it has to use turbos, a device designed, technically, to increase the apparent CID of a motor by forcing more air in then would normally be possible. Your motor isn't efficient, your turbos MAKE it efficient, and Fords 4.6L modular, once again, has been used in drag applications to make up to 2,500 hp for the last 10 years. With turbos. Because they push combustion efficiency way over 100% in any motor. Bigger motor = more potential horsepower. Every time.

the viper was actually the faster car there, the audi just got off the line quicker, at the end of the race the viper was litterally nose and nose with the audi but the audi got about a 3 foot launch advantage at the start, good race tho!

No it's not! The Audis weight is 1600Kg stock, without Extras. But this one has leather, Climatronic etc. So its probably about 1680Kg. I thing the Audi is ahead: a) it has more Hp b) it has Quattro! The Viper has slicks on it ok, but Quattro is still better!!!

Ugh, the viper is not a drag car, but it is fast. Take it to the track where it's supposed to be. Sedans are light because they aren't built for tracking...modding the sedan would give it a good p/w ratio. I think it's awesome and hilarious that this sedan is so fast, but I'd still take the viper (gts tho) for looks and handling :)

My Audi has 650Whp, it's used everyday. Right now I came home from Munich wich is 700Km. 6 month ago I went to St. Tropez (France, Cote D'Azur) wich is 1450Km one way... So u see, it's a everydaycar. Since all modifications I had not a single breakdown, and im talkingabout over 35.000km till today!!! The were no repairs, nothing!!!

Man1 You didn't get it at all!!! This engine was so far ahead of its time, that even Mercedes and Porsche ingenieurs said, that it is still up to date til right now! It was a work of genius and makes no wonder at all, that AUDI reanimates this engine and will put it in the new Audi TT RS with nearly 400hp. Don't be so ignorant man.
