@@MetallixX974There are 7000 RPM rated valve springs for TDIs, 7000 RPM is easy for smaller diesel engines, the Mercedes OM606 for example, it’s very well known for its ability to happily rev to 7k and beyond with modifications.

DSG would explode with so much NM after some launches. Look how aggressive the car pulls. Also the cost to maintain it is expensive. To adapt itself a DSG to an old car that has barely electronics makes it too complex that the mech unit would go crazy. It’s possible yes, but be prepared for €€€€ costs.
