I would love to see you doing this from the beginning. I’m new to this stuff and am way too confused to know how to set it up like you have done here

It's the blue wire the power antenna?
@pezishere Жыл бұрын
The blue wire is to activate the rear amplifier/rear speakers
@WalkWithWallace Жыл бұрын
@@pezishere yeah that ties in with your vid, but the small writing on the blue wire says "power attenna" which threw me off a bit.
@pezishere Жыл бұрын
Yeah they all say that but it’s used for signal to turn the amp on.

My sub works now but rear speakers still don't work

My aftermarket stereo wont turn on at all when I plugged it in. Do I have to take a seperate wire from the ignition on to the red one from the stereo just like you did? In that case, from where should i connect the new wire? Somewhere in the engine or somewhere else?
@antonlovdahl8631 Жыл бұрын
I figured it out. I run a wire from the fuse box. But now I have a different problem. The stereo is turning on and everything works, but I get this buzzing/static noise from the rear speakers when the ignition is on even when the stereo is off. Is there any way to fix this? It's pretty annoying.

So i just installed a Pioneer headunit in mine aswell as a subwoofer in the boot. I got the subwoofer working with just connecting the rca´s and the remote to the blue/white cable from the headunit. Only issue i have is the rear speakers which are not turning on. Do i still need to connect a red wire like in the video for them to work? I just dont get why the amp for the sub turns on but not for the rear speakers..
@raydavison2972 Жыл бұрын
Is your sub aftermarket or are you using the Audi OE sub? As standard the OE sub and rear speakers are all powered from the OE rear amplifier.

Is this setup for a half amplified or a full bose amplified stereo as I'm having trouble with my amplified bose system
@pezishere3 жыл бұрын
Half amplified. Concert edition. What issue are you having?

Iv got an audi 1.9 tdi 2005 try to hook up my pioneer radio but haveing problems. That red wire were is that going
@pezishere3 жыл бұрын
The red wire you need to connect to a switched live so that when the ignition goes on so does that.
@jjp6002 жыл бұрын
Just wired this in, wanted to double check; will it drain the battery?
@pezishere2 жыл бұрын
No it shouldn’t do as it will only switch on when your ignition is on

Hey man if you can help i have a wiring harness for my a3 but i cant get the back speakers to work i think the amp is not turning on how do i fix this ?
@pezishereАй бұрын
Watch the video from 1m50s and that explains how to get the rear speakers/rear amp to work. Hope that helps
@Samuraiii12Ай бұрын
@pezishere yes I saw that it's just that it's a different connector than mine, and I don't have an amp wire
@pezishereАй бұрын
Do you have the same adapter harness as I’ve got in the video?
@Samuraiii12Ай бұрын
@pezishere no it's with a ISO connection to 16pin
@pezishereАй бұрын
That’s strange. You should still have the blue amp wire 🤔

Where can I buy the adapter you used for the bosse amplifier?
@pezishere3 ай бұрын
EBay/amazon should have it. I got mine from Halfords’s in the UK
@RichardLabbrozzi3 ай бұрын
Have you a link to Halfords for it please?

Hello. I did the same and the rear speakers play very low.. I have the same adapter
@pezishere3 жыл бұрын
Mine did the same. You need to adjust the balance settings so there's more sound out of the rear speakers
@raydavison2972 Жыл бұрын
You need a remote switch feed to the rear amplifier as well as a line out adjuster in the feed to the rear amplifier. These usually come fitted when you buy a dedicated harness rather than try to cobble it together by cutting wires.

How do I know if my car is half or fully amplified. I have the symphony stereo
@johnhinds6308 Жыл бұрын
Where did u run ur ignition live from exactly please
@pezishere Жыл бұрын
From the original stereo wiring. Generally the red power wire is the switched ignition live. Best to check with a multimeter though to make sure it is ignition live.
@johnhinds6308 Жыл бұрын
@@pezishere ah so u didn't run wire from fuse box or actual ignition then? Just the red wire from main harness
@pezishere Жыл бұрын
@@johnhinds6308 so I did in this video however I went back and checked again and found the ignition live from the wiring loom and spliced into that instead.
@pezishere Жыл бұрын
@@johnhinds6308 I just realised that my reply didn’t make much sense. So I’m this video the red switched live came from a fuse in the fuse box however after this video I found the switched live in the original wiring loom and spliced into that instead of running a wire from the fuse box. The switched power wire I then fitted a fuse to that. Hope this helps

@@pezishere that great news as didn't really want to take all trim off haha

I would’ve just connected blue yellow and red. Why jump them? Extra steps for no reason

I tried that and it didn’t remember the settings hence doing it this way.
