Myself and my brother looked at these recently. After test driving an A3 and a VW Golf, a few months apart, we both agreed that the VW was the better car and therefore both now own a Golf. The Audi remains a great choice however we both just preferred the Golf.

@Dkcode thanks. I was surprised just how much I enjoyed driving the Golf over the A3. Both interiors were similar quality but I think I just preferred the look of the Golf too.

Funny, after test driving both of them I bought yesterday the A3. (I owned only vw’s in the past) I think the a3 facelift is way better then the facelift Golf. (I tested R-Line and S-line) Only the Golf seats are a little bit better. Enjoy your new car!

@@Devijg congratulations, excellent choice. I just could not justify the added expense of the Audi compared to the VW when, in my opinion, there was very little to choose between both cars. As previously stated, I enjoyed driving the Golf much more than I was expecting. Therefore, I'm very happy with my decision. Hope you have fun with the Audi my friend.

Hello guys! I need some feedback from you car experts. I live in Sweden and in June I was looking for a private leasing car (which I wanted to receive in December) and I had two main options: The new BMW 1-series or the Audi A3 as they were similar in monthly leasing fee (about $380). However, at the time I ordered my car, the new BMW 1-series was not available for order due to it just being released. So I went with the Audi A3! I am starting to regret my decision when I chose the Audi A3, because the standard configuration of the BMW 1-series is, in my opinion, much better. The BMW 1-series has 170 hp compared to Audi's 150 hp and it comes with 17 inch wheels compared to Audi A3's 16 inch. Can anyone give me some enlightning facts which makes me not to regret my decision? Is the Audi A3 a better car than BMW 1-series?

Both the Audi A3 and BMW 1 Series are excellent cars with their own unique strengths, so don’t feel too down about choosing the A3! The A3 offers a smoother ride and great fuel efficiency. Its handling is agile, making it fun to drive. It may have less horsepower, but the A3’s build quality and advanced tech features are top-notch! Either is a great choice
