I have one ,AWX engine Code , 220km/h did it, I bought it from first owner ,2003 year of fabrication and he did it only 177800km when I bought it. Very smooth ride even better than my previous Skoda Octavia 2015

Funny thing ,yesterday I drove 1000km in Romania,,different roads, and never felt tired after this ,500km stayed 2 hours somewhere to chill, and then back another 500 km.

1.9 TDI 130 HP AVF. I have the same engine in my 2001 Passat. Fantastic engine and fantastic car, still today. However, from this video I noticed a slight difference between the Audi A4 B6 and the Vw Passat B5. Even though they both have the same engine and the same 6-speed gearbox, the Audi has a longer sixth gear. My Passat in sixth gear at 3800 rpm is accurate to 190 km/h. This Audi in sixth gear at 3600 rpm is at 190 km/h. So 200 rpm less. Maybe Audi and Vw have chosen different gearbox calibrations.

​@@surellow Possible. The Audi A4 B6 AVF in Italy had a tire size of 205/65 R15, while the Passat 3BG AVF had 205/55 R16.

@@MihaiGabriel-e3i Not quite like you say. Mechanical quality is the same between Audi A4 B6 and Vw Passat 3BG. Spare parts and EAN codes are the same. Among other things, my Passat AVF has the PIERBURG brand vacuum pump, not Bosch. With 450.000 km under its belt.

This car is chipped i have the same audi chipped to 207HP and moves a lot quiecker, but back to the point the stock 96kw isnt that quick when u shift from 2nd to third gear.

First car I bought was a 1997 Audi A3 1.8 MPI. A3 8L/A4 B5/B6 are great for an unexperienced driver who also wants to learn about cars but not get broke at the same time. Now I am daily driving an E90 330i which I have to pump shit ton of money every month and other than better engine sound, obviously miles better performance and handling it's just shit

Also stick to 1.8 if you want petrol and you're okay with A3 8L/A4 B5 and never pick 2.0 TDI, just 1.9

@@funfzylinder well I had the 1.8 and honestly it was a great experience. My car had 400k kilometers when I bought it, done 50k in 2 years. I only did the timing belt, oil change, brakes and some minor stuff. Nothing expensive like vanos solenoids on BMWs. Can 100% recommend, if you want to own one for longer don't go cheap and buy one that has a nice paint and no rust. It is pretty common for A3/A4 B5/Golf 4 to develop rust spots in front fenders and doors. It's pretty expensive to fix properly so it's better to buy one that was kept well, believe you'll thank me later

I have the same car with the AVF engine. However, European speedometers are set approx 4mph faster. So the top speed was really 136mph.
