Audi A4 B6/B7, Seat Exeo service reset

How to reset #service reminder in #Audi A4 B6, Audi A4 B7 and Seat Exeo. The procedure is simple and does not require using any special tools or diagnostic interface like VCDS, VAG-COM, VAS. After you replace oil & filters, and inspect all safety systems in your car, you can clear maintenance message and reset service countdown yourself with a help from this DIY tutorial.
This procedure works in Audi A4 B6, Audi A4 B7 and Seat Exeo - since all those cars are using the same instrument cluster.

Your airbag lights on. This happened on mine, I cut out the connector and joined wires directly under the seat, changed the crash sensor igniter on the b pillar, still had the fault code. I took the back off the seat, the bottom spring breaks and rubs through the wire insulation for side airbag. Wrapped insulation tape round the bare wire, cleared the code, job done 👍

Thanks for the tip! It was wiring under drivers seat. Every time the seat is adjusted it throws this error code.

My 2003 Audi A4 does not have the reset button and toggle switch at the end of the windshield wiper control lever. Since my Audi vehicle is a used vehicle I purchased from the previous owner, all of his information regarding driving time, fuel range to average consumption, average speed, mpg, etc. is still in the display system. I have seen other Audi vehicles without that feature but there must be someway to access the display information. The owner's manual is of no help to me. How do I go about accessing / changing the display information without the toggle switch? Please help! Is there a tutorial video available to explain what to do without the reset button and toggle switch?

If there's something wrong with the interval, you will need to use diagnostic interface (like OBDeleven or VCDS) to check how the instrument cluster is set up.

Oil service can be reset from MMI screen. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oX-mqXeemqeDntE Inspection service with service tool (VCDS, Carista, OBD11, Ancel VD500...).
