could you say the same about the 1.9tdi? I just got one (well actually my dad did), but I think it capped at like 300hp... maybe I'm wrong?

@@istrash7832 So the reason people say it will cap at 300 is due to the fact that these engine have week rods, but without opening the engine you can safely push to around 300hp. If you were to change out the rods for say some Eagle rods you can def push MUCH higher than 300 with some other modifications ofc. But the 1.9tdi unlike the 1.8T is more torque prevalent so even a 60-70HP gain (around stock 1.8THP) is gonna be a hoot due to it's torque alone. But I would recommend doing some research of your on the 1.9TDI most of my knowledge on it comes from what I know about the 1.8T(as I own one) and some general research. Be careful and have some fun with it.

I actually calculated the maximum hp of the awx engine, it goes like your rpm x torque divided by 5252 and that gave like a sub 300 number… I googled the max cap and stuff as well, but this sure helped! I don’t know actually if we are going to keep it when I can actually drive on my own (because I’m in driving school going for the license where you have to have someone with a license next to you), and if I’m going to upgrade it… right now as it is, probably not, although I enjoy driving it a lot and it’s tempting. I would say if I have it to my full responsibility, I still would go for a few mods, just about 200-280hp around something like that or like at a spot where it’s not gonna generate tons of smoke since that’s not gonna pass the inspection in this country.
