So basically you need to plug a computer with special software into the car just to get the screen menu needed for basic AUX or Bluetooth output? This car is really making me work for what’s a basic preset service on any other car made past like 2010…

All you need is an actual aux cord that has an ami input to connect to the car and then a Bluetooth connector to pair to your phone and it works perfectly fine

@@Kiss__Kiss I was thinking about rsnav, but instead i use a Samsung Tab S6 10.5", and it does everything rsnav does, and TONS more, better OLED screen, faster response, movies, youtube, and any audio/video app or program you want, audio equalizers, vehicle apps via Bluetooth to a obd2 dongle, etc... Instead of installing it and cutting up my dash, i decided to use 2 of those magnetic vent clips, meant for phones, and just attached 2 slim magnets to the back of the tab. It looks really good, sits flush with the dash, and doesn't move at all. You can send it power by wiring in a usb-c cable behind the stock stereo and run it threw the vent to the tab, or just run a short 9" usb-c cable to your cigarette lighter from the tab.

@@klubstompers Hmmm Do you happen to have a picture of this set up? Would be a great visual. I haven't bought a tab in quite some time. I think the last Tab I bought was called something like, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.. 8.0(For 8 inches). Again, a while ago. 😂

in my 14 a4 i have the adapter from ipod to aux then aux to iphone and the AMI says the device cannot be read

How can I add aux input in my a4 from 2008 with the lower end mmi model. In sources I see the aux but I don't have the actual input. You know which type of button I have to buy?

I have audi a4 b8 2009 .. i can connect mine phone via bluetooth but only for calls.. in this green options.. can I activate the same thing like you , to use the same bluetooth for music streaming too, without installing some third party bluetooth? Thx for answer

Sadly, I don't think so. I also need to add a bluetooth receiver.

Only the 3gs and up can do video. I tried forever on my 2Gmmi. Getting the same error messages no matter what I do. I think your car has to come with the AMI system by the valet key holder in the glovebox for the video to work as well

Din cate stiu eu cei care au pe a4 b8 varianta cu display-ul rosu(fara mmi) si fara butoanele pe consola centrala nu pot activa nici "green menu/hidden menu" nici functia asta de auxiliar.

Posibil. Nu stiu nimic legat de display-ul rosu. A fost una din "cerinte" cand am cumparat masina sa aiba display color.
