Hi there from France, thanks for sharing this it really helped me out to pull it back. Maybe just a little advice, I could pull it back without pulling the roof that much by just using a screwdriver (long enough to have some torque) and using it as a leverage to pull down the roof just a little (and enough to insert the module). Anyway thanks again mate ! (NB: also if anyone is interested, it is also really easy to solder the LED(s) missing which is what i've done)

Nicely demonstrated, good to see how this comes out. The one in my B8 S4 is still working fine but this will help if anything changes. Thanks for sharing! Just one thing, the first link you posted to the brake light doesn't load up the OEM product like in your demonstration - it comes up with an aftermarket knock off for one that fits the Mk5/6 Golf and B6/7 Passat. Must've been a typo or amazon have changed the url.

Thank you, yes it's not too hard to do, just take your time. I double checked the link, Newparts sells OEM stuff and this should be genuine OEM in a VW box, not a knockoff. Part # is 8K5945097. Also on Amazon put in your vehicle info with year and it will give you an Amazon confirmed fit for your car.

Would this fit a 2010 A5 coupe? They look completely the same but everything I find for A5 is cheap or says it don’t fit
