Audi A5/A4 Fuel Filter replacement. How to replace the fuel filter on your car

This is a quick video on how to replace the Fuel filter on your Audi A5 and alsop Audi A4 2.0 TDI Diesel engine.

You should use VCDS to fill up the fuel filter… 😇 better for engine and fuel pump. Great video! Enjoy

Great Vid! Is the fuel filter located in the same place as a 2009 audi a5 3.2 v6 model? I looked everywhere and can’t confirm.

Mine is located under my backseat. It is in the gas tank itself (Audi S5 4,2 V8 2009)

Hi Mate, thanks for the video, i have audi a5 2.0 tfsi... will this filter fit or i need another one? because i can't find the right one on ebay... you show for the diesel car, but my car is petrol... what to do? or get the same one?

Hello bud..I'm not sure unfortunately as I never done a petrol A5 😞 don't want to tell u to get this one and it being wrong. I would suspect that they either haven't got one and it's life time one in the fuel tank or u need a different one. Best thing is to find it first and then look at the numbers on it

It's about time I do this one too, I'm getting misfires on all cylinders simultaneously, without throwing an error code for some reason, even after replacing the spark plugs with new ngk's, while it got better they still misfire sometimes, so I checked the maintenance booklet, turns out none of the VW dealers in the past have ever bothered replacing the fuel filter even though the booklet says to do it ever 30k km.. Car is at over 80k km now, so I'm guessing that fuel filter is completely clogged up, maybe causing there to be a shortage of gas compared to air, causing it to misfire on all cylinders..? If the injectors were the issue then it would've probably been only 1 or 2 cylinders right?

Yeah in your case I would definitely sort the fuel filter out first. Last week I had a vehicle that was lacking power a lot due to dirty fuel filter

@@AlexTheGrumpyOne Yea if a fuel filter gets clogged, blocking gasoline, it would run too lean right? Losing power. If wonder if it happens often that it just gets skipped over during maintenance
