Very little maintainance needed for such high mileage. I'm impressed. Great car!

Yes, it has been a VERY solid car. Done many long trips from Finland to southern europe in it.

Very nice car and nice done presentation. Too bad they don't make them anymore like they used to. I wish you many more kilometers with it and drive safe ;)

Very nice car, d3 is the best looking a8 of all time imo. Did you say the bluetooth works just for phone calls and not for music? In that case how does the ”adapter” you use work in terms of sound quality? Is is the same as for example a regular radio/cd audio? Best regards!
@volvopentaman Жыл бұрын
Factory BT just for telephone calls, but you can play music via it, tough bad sound quality. There is a factory AMI (audi music interface) available for these and as an addon BT dongle for that. I basically have the same but as an aftermarket option from VNSMEDIA. It has USB for a memory stick of up to 32gb, 3,5mm aux input and bluetooth music A2DP streaming. Audio quality is better than CD.

Very nice car, also good options, but not even close to full options!!
@volvopentaman6 ай бұрын
Well, you can always say that it lacks this and that. It has an option list of 4 A4 pages, so I count it as being fully optioned when like 95% off the boxes are ticked including ceramic brakes, fridge, DTV, DAB, TPMS, preheater, 4seat etc. The only things missing worth mentioning: ACC (they are really notorious for NOT working and then you have no cruise), the ACC is actually fitted but working as a normal cruise. Sunroof, RSE, seat massage, ventilation and heated steering wheel (but that can't be bought with a wooden steering wheel), rear seat table (i would not want that), fax machine, fingerprint reader, lane assist (who needs those?) Have you seen a A8L that you definectly can call higher optioned for sale? I haven't. But your car is probably better optioned? ;)
@VersaceVJC6 ай бұрын
Yes it is. I have both the S8 and the W12 with Audi Exclusive package. It also lacks the lane assist (which really is only steering wheel vibration on lane departure) and the side assist - blind spot. So it also does not have all the options but it has Leather 3 package (full leather door cards and dashboard), Bang and Olufsen stereo, not only double glazing but also IR side, rear and fron windows, heated windshield, ventilated and massaged seats, ACC cruise control that works wonderful on all of A8 D3 that I have and had in the past (2x 4.2 40V), sunroof without solar option which is in my personal oppinion better…. So, not mine, neither yours are full spec!

Awesome A8, have you done the timing chain several times? Injectors? Oil leaks?
@volvopentaman2 күн бұрын
Original chains, doubt they were changed before I got the car 6years old 10 years ago. Injectors are original, they are MPI so not direct injection on the ond 6,0 W12 until 2009. I use a few bottles of injector cleaner/fuel system tuneup every year. Only oil leak is from the PCV hoses, and I did the valve cover gaskets this summer.

@volvopentaman wow that is amazing, and i noticed the seats are in good shape too, i have an RS3 with 120ks which i bought used and the seats are not in the best shape, how is the interior holding up? Any rattles or still solid?
@volvopentamanКүн бұрын
@@valealvarez96 Interior is very solid, I rub the seats 1-3 times a year with horse-saddle wax to keep them fresh. The car does mostly highway, because I don't really drive it in the city unless I really need to. This saves the interior from a lot of jumpin in/out wear. Almost no rattles or squeaks, they mostly come from the stuff I have inside the car. Biggest squeak is the front axle rear lower link bushings running dry.

What are your yearly costs in terms of repairs for this beast?
@volvopentaman Жыл бұрын
Total spent on repairs in 9 years 7095€ (includes tires and MOT fees but not labor for installs, i do everything myself). So roughly 800€/year in repairs and maintenance parts. Yearly insurance is around 400€ and road tax 569€. Fuel mileage is around 12,5L/100km and I drive around 10000km yearly. Earlier I used to drive more (20-25000km/y)
