Disconnect the battery before doing audio install on Audi's- a short or voltage surge could damage your dash pod (gauges) doing anything electrical with the pod energized.

Watched your video a few weeks ago. Just bought myself a dension unit for my 2000 Audi TT with a Bose speaker system. Really appreciated your video while I installed the until. Was scared to connect the dension harness into the back of the radio as it wasn’t a loose and easy connection, but a little bit of pressure and everything works. Great. Thanks for the video!

That red wire that you disconnected and tucked away, that is not for the CD changer, but it is for phone and navigation. There is a sticker with a wiring diagram right on the top of the stereo that shows you what it is and what the pin-outs are for.

Mine installed as easy as can be. Hint: Wrap the blue box in foam. I didn't at first and installed a nice in-dash rattle. LOL. Foam is your friend.

I have my 12 pro max and it works perfectly with the adapter, theres a code that it comes with and you just pair it super simple. I had my adpter for 5 years now and no issue

Last question - I have been to all the local auto shops and Best Buy and cant find that blue connector that you first see in at 2:26 and you are plugging the ground into at 4:45 - 4:56. Do you know what they're called? I'll order one from Ebay. Thanks buddy!

I'm the original owner (2001 with only 50,000 miles!) and the one thing that has nagged me is the lack of "modern" blue tooth functionality with the radio. Last question: Does the wiring that comes with the Dension fit the Audi harness or do I need to swap any connectors?? I know you showed a whole packet with zips wrapped around the Dension but was curious.

Charlie Nostrand i know right! When i got my audi i hated that it had a decent radio but i couldnt listen to my songs! And yess buddy the dension comes with all the wiring you need its plug n play, i forgot to mention that the only connector that gets left out is the six cd radio changer but, i mean who uses cd's nowadays haha & no problem buddy glad i could help (:

I´ve just got a Gateway Lite BT for my Audi Concert 1 radio and the BT works pretty fine, BUT I couldn't manage to make the USB work... I've tried everything but my Dension doesn´t read the USB pendrive.. How did you make it work?

I actually never used the usb plug at all, i ended up making a custom port next to the cup holders And i believe the USB Plug is to upgrade rhe software on the dension somehow

It sounds great! I used to have one of those radio transmitters that i bought from ebay and that really made everything sound crap. This box doesn't do that tho, been running it for about a year now and i have no complaints bro

Alternatively buy a cigarette lighter Bluetooth FM broadcaster for about $15 and if you’re wanting to keep your ashtray closed install a secret 12v socket running off the OEM socket. The phone connects to the broadcaster unit then the car radio picks up the broadcasted signal and there you have it.
