I dont know if the R8 is different but here in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada the alignment on a A3 is $203 (tax in) and an A/C check, recharge, and dye is their standard $180 for an hour......I had to do both to my 2016 A3 this year

My 2008 AC also died and turned out it was a similar issue. all it needed was a new Schrader valve also under the headlight and was literally a $5 fix and like you, also no need to refill the gas. thank god

broke a ball joint a few years ago on a 1996 crown vic, luckily I was only 5 minutes from my dads, instead of getting a trailer, my dad got a strap and strapped the a arm to the upper ball joint mount, and it allowed me to drive to his house to get it fixed.

Just a little advice.. keep your AAA.. get rid of your geico roadside.. every time you use your insurance roadside assistance, it counts as a claim.. which causes your rates to go up with that company
