Nice job! I gave up on my adaptive headlights. I replaced the front ones twice in one year and yes if there is a failure your headlights go down as to not blind other motorists. What Audi forgot was that you need to see when you drive and you actually can't. Ultimately I pulled the fuse to stop the annoying warming sound and manually raised the headlights. Yes you can still raise the headlights with a screwdriver on an Audi - amazing.

you can pull the fuse for the warning sound? where can i find info on this?

You can buy sealed rod end (just like a tie rod) for around the same price that will last indefinitely. Non sealed will jam up after time if you live in a area where salt is used in the winter. Great video. 👍🏼

Thanks for the comment. Didn't know there was a sealed version. Definitely an upgrade from my suggestion. Haven't had an issue with mine yet. I just checked everytime I rotate my tires or do an oil change

Great idea. I am in the same boat but it's the front driver side ride height sensor rod that has snapped off.. Any experience with that one? I am not sure if the front and the rear are same parts

Can you measure the length of the rod? My original rod is broken and missing. Dunno how long should be exactly.🖐
@JonnyELO83295 ай бұрын
@@rapk1x sorry I don't have the measurements. And I sold my car a few years back. Maybe check the forums?

Another idea I used: buy a cheap knockoff sensor from aliexpress (about € 14), remove the sensor arm and use that. The knockoff sensor itself is probably shit, but the arm is fine to use on the Audi sensor.

genuis! yes.. i found the ball socket ends, but which threaded rod? there so many, can you show the exact one you bought?
@JonnyELO83293 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I'm glad the video helped you out. The threaded rod I used was m6 metric. You should be able to find that at your local home depot.

Sorry i realized my mistake. It's the ball joint that rotates not the screw lol. So yeah it can be tightened all the way. This is genius and I ordered tonight. Actually it's $13 per piece plus shipping. $35 per side. Not bad. This is how it should have been made. They make it to fail so they make more money.

This is for a b8 a4. Should work for b8.5 as well

Jonathan Lagdameo i have b8 too but that Pipe is not straight like that... Is that something wrong with mine?
@JonnyELO83294 жыл бұрын
The one I replaced was for the driver side rear. Some models have 2. There's one in the front. Mine may vary depending on the model?
