Man, thank you very much for the links! FYI i downloaded the correct version from the page according your instructions, put the unzipped content into the root of the flash drive, put it into my A6 C8 USB, it found that automatically after a minute or so, then checked that, asked for a confirmation and then it took about 30-40 minutes to finish. I had to keep my driver's door open during that time and connect the 12V charger (6A was enough) to be sure it aint die in the middle of the process. Thank you.

Hi mate did you use a SD card? Im using a 64gb sd card and format is om exfat standard but once loading all data on card and olugging into vehcile SD card is not recognised (exact as this video)

@@waqarriaz5470 low powered computer systems like this are usually created on old tech standards. As such it requires a fat32 format, which also has a 32GB limit. In case your micro sd card is larger than 32gb : Open Command Prompt as Administrator: Click Start, type cmd, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator. Open Diskpart: Type "diskpart" and press Enter. List Disks: Type "list disk" and press Enter. Select Disk: Type "select disk [number](replace [number]with the disk number of your SD card)" and press Enter. Clean Disk: Type "clean" and press Enter. Create 32GB Partition: Type "create partition primary size=32768" and press Enter. Assign Drive Letter: Type "assign letter=[letter](replace [letter]with your desired drive letter)" and press Enter. List Partitions: Type "list partition" and press Enter. Select Partition: Type "select partition 1(replace 1with your partition number)" and press Enter. Format to FAT32: Type "format fs=fat32 quick" and press Enter. The card is now ready for the files.

The map updates has a cool feature. When you come close to the destination, now it’ll tell you in HUD if the destination is on the left or right. I always suffered with this issue (when god was giving human gps: I was playing football it seems)

First of all, Thank you sooo much for putting this content together and sharing! In my case I was able to install the MIB app and access the GEM - but I couldn't update the maps. I have a A4 Avant B9 (2019) and use the Brazilian maps (rest of the world maps). I've downloaded them and unzipped the files to a SD card, but when I try to update it says that the SD doesn't contain valid files for update. I double checked the version (MHI2Q_ER_AUG22_P5092) - seems to be the latest. Any hint or tip? I've noticed that the "key" is 023d002a, not the one you mention on your videos. Please, if you could help me, I would be grateful !

Thanks for your video, really useful. I had no idea I could upgrade my maps. In case there is a problem when using the SD card with new maps, can I simply put back the original SD card and return the car to how it was before any update? I have a 2019 Audi TT. Many thanks. Update Nov 2023. Followed every step, yet when it came to read the SD card it said 'no valid data'. Had 02300ee 'legal', MHI2 version. Download to Sd card worked fine, so no idea why it's not working, but it isn't! I used a micro SD card with an adaptor, maybe that's it? For info, tt was 2023-24 maps EU.

Looking for advice on updating maps for europe: I followed the video for Audi Q5, 2020, SW MHI2Q_ER_AUG22_P5152. I downloaded from MIB-helper the latest version of maps for Europe, P390_N60S5MIBH3_EU, formated a 64GB SD card and copied the files per the instructions. When I tried to update, the MMI system came up with a message that no valid update data found on the medium. Any advice?

Hi @mr-fix, thanks for all the content! I have an audi a3 8v (MHI2_ER_AU37X_P5089_MU1326) with Australia/New Zealand navigation. I have successfully completed the MIB patching and can now see the 023000ee FeC. And downloaded, the map version as supplied in this video for the rest of world (RoW) map, however the extracted file will is not recognised by the unit for a map update. Do you know whether a RoW map FeC is required for Australia/RoW region? E.g. 023D00ee.... how can I get maps updated in this instance? thank you

Hi all, yes sorted it out. The solution is so simple but not document it seems. You simply need to update the fec file inside of the patch folder for your car/firmware. I used notepad to change the 023000ee to changed a "0" to a "D". e.g. from 023000ee to 023D00ee and run the patch command again. It recognised the existing map, and allowed for map updates via normal process.

First you would have to convert the unit to EU firmware. Next you can update maps to EU version.

Thank you for all your hard work. I'm trying to update maps on my 2017 Q7. Tried to download new maps from the website you recommended a couple of times and every time I unzip downloaded folder it gives me an error and I can't install new maps for North America ***P356_N60S5MIBH3_NAR_V03959803AR_0356_2024_02310034.zip***. Maybe someone had the same issue and has a solution for that or maybe you have another source to download this package to update NAR maps for Q7? I updated my FW to MHI2_US_AUG22_K2162 from S2149. For some reason the newest FW - K3347 is not installing - says that is not compatible. But following your website it should work... I successfully added the activation key for maps update - just need maps file.

Hi, i have MHI2 with a recent update to K3663 and have successfully updated POI/Speed camera to the latest database too, i have the 023000ee legal maps licence, however when i try to update maps database from v03959801et 0105 ece 2015 to the latest version P330_N60S5MIBH3_EU.7z (extracted of course) it simply fails to recognise the files on the SD card giving the error message 'no valid update data were found on the medium' - any ideas where i may be going wrong please?

If you placed 3 things directly on the SD card (MIB1, MIB2, and metainfo), not hidden inside a folder, then it should be picked up. Also check if the card is formatted with FAT32.

@@mrfixpl have managed to find a solution. The AIO and Poi's worked fine off a Mac formatted/created SD card. The map database needed a windows created SD card, it wouldn't even see a windows formatted usb at all! All sorted thank you 👍👏

thank you very much, i did the firmware update and then i made the maps update, it worked without problems but now, my GPS isnt woking, in the car it shows my position offroad, any ideeas? Also, with Android Auto, the google maps isnt working, i cant set any direction and it wont get out of the app. on the other hand, Waze is working just fine, when i want to write a direction, it opens the keyboard on my phone so i can write where i want to go, but with google maps, nothing works, anyone else has the same problem as me ?

The ROW 2022/23 maps require another FEC code, probably 023d002e according to some other forums. How do i get this code installed in my MIB? I currently have 023d0024 on my MIB, what are the latest maps can be installed using this code?

Really good video but no matter what version of the files mentioned i cant get my car to accept the update. Download works fine and extracting the files is OK, and transferring the files to my SDS card is also OK. When I then insert the sd card into my AUDI Q7 2016, the car finds the SD card as a possible update medium, but after checking it says that there are no files to update. I have checked that everything looks correct, exactly as in the video, but it doesn't work!!. In the video you use the file that starts with 0194, but this can no longer be downloaded?

You will first have to install MIB, then run the patches to get the FEC CODE in the GEM menu of MIB. It’s easy.

Regarding Activation keys in Red menu how do you know which is needed/correct? I Dowloaded Navigation maps directly from myaudi for my MH2P and I cannot install it. I receive an error message saying "Update isn't possible"

Hi.......Couple of questions.......I pressed the initial key equence to get into the engineering settings (sat nav up and Radio down ).....how do you exit without changing anything ?...also how do you know which Legal code is correct ? is it always 02300ee? and if it states it's legal why do you need to check MHI2****** ?...and finally why is it necessary to have a pc if the files are purched with an SD card ?............hopefully you can answer my questions before I purchase and try to update to the lastest on my 2015 Audi tt. Thank and well done.

I will answer just first question. You can exit this engineering menu with same combination as you used to enter to this menu. ( sat nav up and Radio down )

It's worth noting you will need an SD card with 64 GBs or MORE because the maps have 32 GB and the 32 SD card will only have 31.37 GB free space when formatted.

Dear Mrfix, I try to install maps from MIB Helper, but did not work. Can You help. My Audi is A4/B9, 2016. version MHI2_ER_AUG22_P3241MU Software 0678. When I put SD Card in slot 2 and start Update, on MIB2 navigation database only choice is Standard, and inside this menu on botom is Start update with no posibiliti to chioce. Where is problem, on SD Card, downloaded Maps or something other. If You can help please give to me info. Regards Damir
