we are audi people. seriously waiting for this in the US. was interested and took an Ionic 5 for a drive. wanted to buy it buy dealer asking $8500 over sticker and it wasn't even the limited version... for a Hyundai... anyway that's it for my try at a different brand. maybe its all for the good. I just hope when this Q4 finally makes it to California, the dealer where we get our audis from better not mark this one up too....

The Q4 is quite appealing & I do like the sportback variant. Nice spec too apart from the wheels. Personally I would go for 20inch. Good review

They will unfortunately! A lot comes as standard, but adding things like the panoramic roof and a decent sound system (Sonos in these, which unfortunately the press car wasn't fitted with) will rack up the £££. There's a fair amount as standard, but... Yeah, there's a healthy options list to choose from.

Thanks Atif! It's the sport variant in pebble grey. The white ambient lighting is standard. There is an option to upgrade it so you can have any colour you want. I've seen it in other Audis and it's pretty cool, but I'm not sure how much it is off the top of my head. Worth looking at if that sort of thing appeals, though.

You mentioned about the view out of the rear window. I’m about to order a Q4 and can’t decide between the SUV or sportback. How restrictive is the view out of the back window?

It's certainly poorer with the sportback versus the standard Q4 e-tron. You can still see out the back, it's not a total blindspot or anything. You get all the parking sensors, too, so it doesn't inpede you in day to day situations. It depends what you prefer, I guess. It didn't really bother me, but it would be worth trying to have a sit in both if you get the opportunity.

It's numpty, and someone who has two large dogs is wasting their time looking at getting a decent car. Why spend all that money on something that's covered in slobber, hair and has an indescribably bad smell? You'd have to be a bit of a numpty to do that, John. Then there's reasonable expectation. What if you have dogs? Or four kids? Or are a delivery driver? Or need to use it on a farm? Or are starting a war? Quite obviously, it won't work. Within the reasonable boundaries of common sense, however, it does.
