Did you replace the intake manifold gasket or is that not necessary?

Audi says to and the bolts, not sure if it’s a crush gasket or not though.

Did you ever end up getting rid of the Ecoboost for a TTRS? I made the swap from an Ecoboost to an RS3 last year and I love it. I’m actually going to be installing a throttle body inlet in a couple weeks!

I'm currently running APR stage II on my RS3. Would this bolt on benefit me in terms of performance on the current tune?

So how much does this mod cost to buy and fit? Seems a lot of effort for what is just a 2-3% increase.

$595 install is under an hour, so around $100. The gains from the stage 1 car on 91 octane pump gas are below. Gains are higher as boost is increased to stage 2 and larger turbo stage 3 applications. Basically the more boost you run, the more effective this part becomes starting at stage 1. 21HP & 26lb/ft TQ @ 4150RPM Run 1 18HP & 15lb/ft TQ @ 6350RPM Run 2 15HP & 13lb/ft TQ @ 5950RPM Run 3 14HP & 12lb/ft TQ @ 6000RPM Run 4

Can this be fitted without the need for new software/re-tune?
@stevenroseren93004 жыл бұрын
Yes it can , but your not going to have the full benefit without sone sort of software tune , I’m good friends with David and that is the shop I go to for my Mk3 TTRS same platform. You won’t even get any check engine lights or faults or anything but it’s actually a very less expensive part for the numbers your seeing but don’t quote me on this but without software your probably getting maybe 15 horsepower to the crank and the same foot pounds of torque , but it is useful because the stock OEM inlet has a lot of restriction with this it’s so much more less restrictive you can tell by the weight of the 2 pieces side by side . Hope that helps your question but to answer your question again yes you can run it without a tune, you can run pretty much every bolt on without a tune FMIC intake , inlet mid pipes , the only thing you can’t run without a tune is a downpipe your car will have CEL and will run like crap , and I almost forgot you do not need a retune for this whatsoever so if you already have a tune your in good hands and just slap it on and make the actual power that’s shown maybe more depending on what you have already . Hope that helps let me know if you have questions I’m always at his shop to hang out he’s super cool and he will answer anything .
