Couldnt agree more. Moved from an S3 to an RS3, its soo good, even though my S3 was pre OPF and the RS3 is an OPF model, valves coded open and man that 5pot sounds so good.

@@Artofwar3004 Ottopartikelfilter, german for petrol particulate filter (or PPF in english). I forgot that the short form "OPF" is german lol. Pretty much an additional filter in your exhaust after the cats, reducing emissions, but also muffles the sound of the car even more. All cars from mid 2018 or newer need to have a filter like that to fullfill EU emission laws. Non EU models dont come with with a filter like that. Those 5cylinder cars with a filter tend to get shittalked in the internet for not having any sound, which is bullshit. I own a 2020 8V RS3 with a OPF/PPF, a friend of mine owns one without (2018 model), all that really is different is that the pre PPF car does have pops and bangs from factory, while the 2020 car doenst. Apart from that, its not that mich more quite in real life as people in the internet say. On video those cars tend to be much quiter, which I guess comes down to the frequency of the actual sound the car makes.

“It used to be better” is just a fact. Cars back then were better sounding, a way lighter and had physical buttons which are just easier to use. Analog dials are also just better. Only the infotainment systems are nowadays a way better.

Controversial opinion: I couldn‘t agree more regarding the aluminum pack. The blacked-out trend is so annoying and so many cars are super bland and boring because of it. Make silver trim great again!

Can look good against certain colours, but conversely, can look very tacky if overdone. Not a fan myself. Have an RS4 performance in Cumulus Blue with black optics, aluminium would look terrible on my car.

Get one from Europe bring it over and register it as a regular Q3 2.0t🤷🏽‍♂️sorted👍🏽. Because the 25 year rule is only for cars not sold in the US the Q3 was and so if you register as a Q3 it's perfectly legal to import

Sat in a q5 once and it felt really small inside at the drivers seat. My knees where against my head. You would expect from the suv version of an a3 or a5 that it is more spacious, but it’s not. I don’t wanna know how tiny this is inside.

SO basically power-wise, a 5cyl audi is basically just an EA888 R engine extended by 1 cylinder.

In its lowest power output it was still more than the OG Mk7 R. The later RSQ3 has 400 bhp. So no not really.

@@Buck3366 exactly, MK8 R has 315HP on 4 cylinders, that's 394HP if it had an extra cylinder (cca. 79HP per cylinder), so the RS3 is effectively just an EA888 with an added cylinder pretty much. Probably different design I'd guess but for all purposes the performance ratio per cylinder is pretty much the same.
