I really enjoyed the S3 series. Funny I was telling my mates about how the rear of my S3 moves around or as you said shimmies and then hooks up. Its a odd feeling. I’m actually getting a H&R swaybar because of your advise, should complement the H&R lowering springs quite nicely. Pity my countries exchange rate took a dumb with all this covid drama so mods are stupid expensive. Modding my s3 is taking much longer than i would like 🤣
@BlakesGarage4 жыл бұрын
Yeah definitely a weird feeling grab a set of the rear subframe lockdown also. Very cheap and easy mod to do that makes a noticeable difference.

The car feels really good standard because your car didnt seem very fast when it was tuned! Probably wasnt much difference. Your quarter mile times were very slow for a stage 2 S3. Great car though.

Been watching a lot of your S3 videos. I'm in the market right now to trade my GTI for a R or a S3. Your praise of the car definitely got me leaning towards the S3, but I'm still really on the fence on the two. Here in Central CA they have an abundance of S3s for sale, but barely a few DSG Golf Rs.
@sn4rl277 Жыл бұрын
Funny how you are just doing a circle on an on/off clover leaf. I wonder if anyone noticed your just flying around on the ramps. Ok, so when you say stock, then you say, "with downpipe". Is the car fully stock again or not? Just wondering for my own understanding of a stock S3. Have always liked the S3's. I am stuck between a Golf R Mk 7.5 and a 2018 Audi S3. Your POV videos have been great for me to see what the S3 feels like. Got it sticky tires, first thing. Then what? Tune, downpipe, cold air intake?
@LastHumansGarage2 жыл бұрын
I never knew the whole story of the S3 end to end. Pretty cool series. Mines close to the same but with virtual cockpit. those payments tho. that makes me happy about my $540 payments honestly.. my GTI was 575.. LOL

Yeah I rolled my old crappy Subaru WRX upside down payment into the S3. But still super happy with the M4.

How are u allowed to do all that stuff with a leased car.
@9to5high3 жыл бұрын
What damn dealership allowed you to modify the shit out of car and still allowed the car to be on lease… as soon as you modify a car here in Canada on lease the cars warranty gets voided and the lease becomes a purchase..

Recently picked up an s3 and it's CPO with 3+ years left of warranty - i just grabbed a JB4 and plan to pull it off every time i have any services done in order to prevent the car from being flagged. Wouldn't this car be flagged TD1 as soon as it gets hooked up to a computer at any Audi dealer? Curious about giving back a lease that was previously flashed haha great content though man!
@BlakesGarage2 жыл бұрын
I had no issues ever. I wouldn’t do JB4 that’s trash garbage 🗑

@@BlakesGarage if i decide to keep the car long term (i'm loving the car but things can change haha), i'll probably go stage 2 with IE or EQT, but for the time being to dip my toes and be as safe as possible with not being TD1 flagged it's the only option.

@@jayskates they can flag you for JB4 also. The perimeters in the ECU will be off. Plus your guarantee to have issues with JB4 throwing codes. Actually tuning the ECU not so much.

So how in hell are you gonna return -- somebody's else car (aka *lease*) -- with an ECU that's gonna get flagged TD1, have whatever warranty that might remain voided, and then not be a CPO candidate because of it? I mean, I personally don't care but it seems like that could result in some serious legal issues which I hope you don't have to suffer.

12.8? There most be something wrong with your tune, tires or simply the driver. These cars do 13.0 from factory and I have seen people doing 12.1 with just a CAI, Downpipe, grippy tires and tune. O34 must be pretty crappy
