It's not a necessity for stage 1 but for stage 2 yea ideally you need to

Did Shaun have to get MRC to remove their map ? I know in the in the past the ecu has been locked and can’t be overwritten unless they remove it

Compared to mrc stage 1 is there much diffrence ? Mines currently mrc single pulley. But i have purchased jackall sauce hopefuly installing tomorrow

@STLCarsYT Cheers for the reply... I'm gonna go to them also, I think for a stage 1 map. Thr brakes are crap though on the S5. Maybe disks and pads first. Any thoughts?

Yea good thing with Jackal is free software upgrades to stage 2 once you purchase so can always upgrade later. Ive got a video on the brake upgrade i did on mine. The front calipers are rubbish on them standard go check it out, would defo try and replace calipers if you can.

Hey STL. Great video. Seriously considering the same upgrade. I believe we have the same car and I was wondering: 1) How does it behave in normal D position as against S and Manual? Also 2. I’m confused between what “stock locking SS on” is as opposed to the stage 1 tune you picked. Any ideas?

So in the CREC engine the Supercharger had a clutch the tune allows you to lock it so it's constantly engaged. In normal drive it isn't much different to standard. When in sport though it revs higher and changes much quicker.

Yea the tune will be slightly different but it recognises what engine it is when you plug it in.

This looks fantastic, I have a few questions. Did you get the B8/B8.5 S4/S5 Tune from the website? It doesn’t mention the CREC Engine on S4/S5. Did you get the Jackal Tuning Cable from their website? Do they ship from the US or is there a warehouse in Europe? Thanks man!

Hi mate, yes I bought the S5 tune, when you plug the cable in it automatically detects what ecu/engine code you have and then gives you the available tunes. With the cable they do ship to Europe, I used my friend as he already had one. Be sure to subscribe if you haven't already got more videos coming on the Jackal tune.

The CREC motor is only on the 16-18 A6, A7, and Q7

Not correct, in the UK S4/S5 from 2015-2016 have the CREC engines

It cost more than if you have a manual but you don't have to but 2 separate products it all comes as one package and still har cheaper than any other tuner.
