Another good video. I always liked that gen of TT. Been looking for one as well but I need to get my '78 924 back on the road first!

Thanks Doug for the comment and support. They are cool little cars, the engine bay is packed in which is a pain haha. Good luck with the 78, 924 great to hear an early model is on the mend 👍

There must be some magic to getting that rear right corner out. I loosened the bolt/clamp that you show, but it is not enough movement to pull the cover. Suggestions? I’m in the middle of it right now.
@Witty9243 жыл бұрын
Hey Dennis, you should get movement when you take that bracket off? Have you taken the air box out so you can see if the pipe is being held in another place by another bolt and bracket?
@dennisjasinski2543 жыл бұрын
@@Witty924 I had the air box out and looked all around I did not see another support bracket. I abandoned the job and re assembled everything. It has a rough idle now. I’m going to take it to the local German repair shop. I was very close to removing it.

Hi there, love your series of Audi TT videos. Could you tell me where you ordered your replacement parts from?
@Witty9243 жыл бұрын
Hi Richard, thanks for the comment and good to hear the vids have been useful. I usually get them from with TPS VW parts or GSF parts. Hope that helps 👍

How did you move that pipe? I have removed that bolt, and that steel pipe won't move at all.
@Witty924Ай бұрын
@@VasylUK hi Vasy, are you talking about the pipe on the back right handside? You can lose a nut and give the pipe a tug to the right. The pipe on the front needs the bracket removed to help create a small amount of room. The cover should angle up and the back enough to then pull over the front threaded studs. Let me know how you get on 👍

When putting back together is there torque settings for the nuts on top of the head.
@Witty9244 ай бұрын
@@russelldownesdownes5618 hey Russell thanks for the comment. It's a low torque only 10nm as you don't want to collapse the new rubber gasket. I hope that helps 👍

A lot of the gunk on the inlet runners will be from leaking injector seals. Common problem and easy fix.
@Witty9242 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment Cameron. Is it orings as the easy fix?
@cameron56562 жыл бұрын
@@Witty924 yes it’s the o rings. Make sure before removing injector’s you get some brake cleaner and compressed air to clean the area up so nothing gets in the inlet.
