I tried to do this today but struggled in some areas, even after taking all the bolts out of the tyre lining and under the bumper would just not come forward, it was like there was something under the lights holding it, does it just clip there?? i ended up giving up and putting all back. Also did you remove the full undertray or just the ones attached?

Ah that's annoying, it's kind of hard to tell what's going wrong without seeing what you've done. I didn't remove the full under tray, just the bolts required to slide the bumper out. Make sure you've taken all the bolts out from the top of the bumper where it joins near the headlights. You may have missed one or two. If all else fails, resort to brute force 😂

My one doesn't have front sensors but from what I understand, it's a fairly simple process. As for the 2016 TTS part, I cant see any reason why it wouldn't fit but dont take my word for it haha I'm not a mechanic

Can you link the plate holder clips? I'm changing the grill on my mk3 tomorrow and the plates will also be in my dash until i find some decent clips, haha. Great video btw, huge help!

hello james cf 10 , i have done the exact process that you done. switch the grill with a honeycomb one. but after the install back my airbag light came on the dash. how do i reset it . i have worked very pacient and haven't touch any airbag sensor . please help

Been watching some other people doing this btw. Did you guys not have to cut and modify the bumper to make the aftermarket grill fit?

There's 2 types of after market grills, the one in this video, and the one with the bit at the bottom which is pushed back. For this one, you don't need to make any adjustments, for the other one, you do 👌🏾

Let's just hope i dont get issues with my parking sensors. I hear the placement and angle is off on the aftermarket grill, and the beep constantly.

I don't have front sensors but it would just be a case of carefully removing them before you take the bumper off. Then lining them up + pushing them into the new holes before securing the bumper back on 👌🏾

@@JamesCF10 if you got the RS honeycomb grill you wouldnt have issues with the front parking sensors, nevertheless.

Just realised you forgot to mention the removal of the bonnet latch and the plastic cover to access more bumper/ grille screws.
