Man my mk4 GTI vr6 (24v swap from a 12v) that I turbo’d (Comp triple bb 6062) was a flippin blast so I can only imagine how much more fun it would be with Quattro. If there’s one car that will always have my heart it’s that car and it’s only because of the vr6 in it. Well, it’s also because I learned everything I know, mechanically, from DIY’s on that car. One day I’ll start another vr6 turbo build but until then I’ll have to get my fix here

Thanks for the content guys! Two questions, have you had a chance to weigh the 12v and 24v? Secondly, for the 3.2 24v my understanding is only some have forged cranks but hard to find a reliable source as to which ones.

I've never heard about forged cranks on 3.2s that's interesting I've read about the mk5 r32 having a cast crank making it weaker than the mk4 r32 something like that im not sure so don't quote me on it

I thought you had to have a head spacer to make serious power on the 12v. Doesn't the head on the 12v flow poorly. I thought lots of porting and polishing was required

Thanks for the video..Great information. do you have info for anyone that makes the 12v engine mounting brackets? Also, do you know if the stock B5 ECU can be flashed/edited to work with the 12V VR6? I have a maestro 7 software now.
