Very useful tutorial. Would stage 2 on the fuel pump support big turbo? Also loving the superman rag :)

I’m running 1.8 bar on a ko4 I would say stage 2 is abit overkill but least there is room for more boost in future

Thanks for posting this video. Glad to see the actual drilling on the brass fitting using the 5mm drill bit. Was there an o-ring inside when you took out the brass fitting because some said to be careful because there was an o-ring under the pump. Thanks.

@@StatusExotics no worries, I'm going to do the same on my HPFP will see how it goes. At least now I know how it will be when drilling it. It's not so difficult after all. Just make sure it lines up. I'll be drilling from the inside-out as some say a better approach as it may snag the bit during the drilling process.

Hi there, hope you are doin’ well. I got 2 little questions on this tutorial. I’ve just installed an Autotech upgrade kit yesterday. The first remark I have is that my spring was stuck at he bottom with the big bolt, i can not remove it. So i replace aeverything like you but with the spring stucked. Did you even hear or see such thing ? The second is that I didn’t drill out to 5 mm. I am «just » stage 1, with Ramair oversize air intake, CTS turbo inlet and outlet. I wonder if I should do it and if 5mm is the right diameter to drill (and by the way not too big for Stage 1). What do you think about that ? Thank you for your answer
@StatusExotics
@StatusExotics 3 жыл бұрын
Never have I had a spring stuck Payne get a replacement one if you get it out .. And if you are increasing the volume of the hpfp the want to get as much fuel into it I wouldn’t say it’s a must but in my eyes it is Also thank you for watching.

Ok thanks for your answer, i will drill it out today when i get some time but buy a spare "just in case of" 😂. I will check if i can find a retail spare spring to remove the old one. I keep you updated. Thanks a lot

my engine is CCZ EA888 gen 1 audi A3 quattro 09 .. im on stage 2+ my tuner did not recommend upgrade in the hpfp instead he recommended upgrade at the lpfp. contrary other tuners recommended S3 injectors and HPFP mods . When i asked my tuner why not S3 injectors and Hpfp he simply said they are using the wrong technology for the cars.
@StatusExotics
@StatusExotics 2 жыл бұрын
I did miss out the lpfp in the video but mine was upgraded long before I filmed the video I did the hpfp as good practice and least if the internals are fresh I know it’s not going to fail and if I wanted more power it was one less thing to do while it was already in bits

Thanks for this video. There was some helpful advice in here. I appreciate it! A “how to remove the intake manifold” for a TFSI would Be good. I haven’t found any good videos on that.
@StatusExotics
@StatusExotics 3 жыл бұрын
What part of removing the inlet are you stuck on 2 bits that are a pain there is a bolt on a bracket in the centre underneath hard to get to And the injectors are stuck fast and it needs a good tug

@@StatusExotics I was removing the intake manifold last night and I got down to the last bolt at the bottom of the bracket and I ran out of time. I’m going to finish it up in the later today sometime. The other question I had was you mentioned drilling out the fuel line with the fuel pump with the banjo bolt. Any examples of that? I’m glad you mentioned that too. I’ll have to do that tomorrow too. I thought about doing the fuel line conversion later on to make it easier on myself.

Good, simple video. Any thoughts on why 5mm drill hole was necessary? 5mm is it alot, or is it just enough? ..I´m installing Autotech HPFP, and would like to know if i should also drill that hole. It´s the first video where i saw this drill be made... Thank you guys @status_declined
@StatusExotics
@StatusExotics 3 жыл бұрын
I would highly recommend drilling out the same hole we did , if you think of it this way the hpfp is going to need more fuel as there is more surface area you want more flow from tank without over working the in-tank pump drilling it out may not make a difference in most peoples eyes but why restrict it it’s not stock once modified we are making some really good numbers our first pull in the next video made 320hp at 1.4 bar ... we are running a lot more now with no issues

@@StatusExotics Great! i will try to do that on mine. I´m not going as far as you... Only have on my TT 8J (BWA) an S3 intercoler with all silicone piping, all metal throtle pipe, and a K&N replacement air filter. Will now install the HPFP internals, and a 76mm downpipe with 200cell cat. Of course i have a remap, and for now my k03 is at 1.3bar...After the HPFP and downpipe i will probably try to increase boost to 1.4.. Don´t know if it could handle... Don´t know yet if it should be ok like this.. what do you think? Kind regards!

Is it possible that after installing the pump, I did not drill a 5mm hole and this is the reason that I have error p2293 under load?

@StatusExotics
@StatusExotics 2 жыл бұрын
Possibly because I’ve never not drilled the hole and never had that error so I would say that would be the first thing that I would do . If the pressure is greater in the pump than in the rail then it would most likely throw a code like this as it’s a too low or too high code for the pressure sensor in the rail and then clear the code and see if the problem is still there
@oskar20CDL
@oskar20CDL 2 жыл бұрын
Its error code for too low pressure When i ride nice na slow error dont come out, but when i put the gas for 70% and turbo build a boost i have fuel cut Like here 130bar on rail when ride slowly But when i put the gas stronger pressure is 70 bar and 30 bar and boom p2293
