I bought the id44 and I love it. There are a few things I wish it could do that it can't do but other than that I truly believe it's the best interface out there. Software is great, easy to use, layout is right where it should be, converters sound great. The preamps are very nice as well, I would say they sound too expensive to be in this unit.

I think I found out why my stream had a echo sound and my suspicions were right. I had my mic volume up as well as my daw fader. I've always been used to listening to the interface sound or the daw sound.

If you open the iD mixer app, can you make sure the Mic 1-4 and DAW 1+2 faders are pulled up. Also open the system panel (View > Show System Panel) and make sure that the headphone outputs are set to Main Mix.

I dont know if its possible to use the analog peak meter por specific inputs, that would be cool, to be able to choose with F1-F2-F3 for different inputs. I would find that super cool. And also create presest, like a recording preset, or mixing preset... if you find that interesting for a future update. I know that with the iD interface you can see the input meters for each channel, but being able to swich the meter on the interface itself could be useful. Everytime I open the computer the interface is in 96 and everything sounds slow

Hello there, It's not currently possible to change the function of the meter on the interface but I can pass this suggestion onto our software team as a feature request.
@GabrielEspinal Жыл бұрын
@@Audientworld Yeah! For example, as I said, in a recording preset F1 could make the meter show inputs 1 and 2, and F2 meter also shows 3 and 4 (L R). Then swich back to standard or mixing preset or whatever and it is

Can you set the headphone outs as dual mono like the main and alt outputs? And then in your DAW prep two different artist mono cue mixes and fine tune the volume there?

Can you add eq to the main out? Can i use the software as a crossover for two main speakers and a sub from 3/4?
@Audientworld2 жыл бұрын
There is no EQ built into the mixer software I'm afraid, You'd need to use a third party application to add equalisation to your outputs.

Is it possible to also use the ID44 MKII with an iPad???
@Audientworld8 ай бұрын
We do not officially support iD44 on iOS I'm afraid. Whilst it may be possible to connect it up and get basic input and output, because you have no access to the iD mixer app, you loose most of the iD44's functionality.

Hello, is there a way to assign the talkback to main mix rather than cue mix ? While communicating with the artist i couldnt do it with the hardware talkback button unless i change the routing from main mix to cue for the headphones
@Audientworld9 ай бұрын
Hello, it's not possible to send the Talkback to the Main Mix. The reasoning behind this is that Main Mix will typically be used for your Main Monitors and you do not want your talkback to be fed around to your main monitors as this can then cause feedback. It is best to send the artist's monitoring via the CUE mix to keep it separate from your Miain Monitor Mix.
@viharidarbha48359 ай бұрын
@@Audientworld Hey, thank you for the response…the problem is if i route the artists monitoring through cue mix he/she is not able to listen to the main mix while recording or what they have just sung, i should go back to ID app everytime to switch the routing of my artists monitoring for them to listen to talkback or else the track that is being played which is thru main mix
@Audientworld9 ай бұрын
You can still send the playback from your DAW to the CUE mix by pulling up the DAW 1+2 fader in that CUE mix so the artist can hear the backing track/playback as well as the Talkback.

A lot of the features can also be found on the iD44 MKI. You wouldn't be able to use the Loop-back feature on the MKI unfortunately as the hardware doesn't support this.

Is it necessary that that the audient Id44 is connected to computer to open ID software mixer? I have tried to download drivers and open iD mixer for few times now and it seems that it is still not working on Mac m1 silicon?

Yes, the interface does need to be connected to the computer for the iD mixer to open. With it connected, you can go to the iD icon in the menu bar and click "Show Mixer"

There must be some solution to the reducing from line level to simple stereo level for iPhone USB-C connection, for example with "Track Rig" 8-XLR Audio Output Interface, it has USB output too...

How can I have 2 pairs of speakers playing at the same time? I have set Both Outputs 1-2 and 3-4 to Main Mix but sound only comes through Analog out 1-2.Also..why is the Analog Out so low? I have to crank up my Yamaha Dxr10s in the recording room like crazy to get just a little bit of audio..If I use the Headphone outs instead it is the output I would expect.

If you have both outputs 1+2 and 3+4 set to Main Mix then you should get audio playing through both at the same time when you turn up the main volume. If this isn't the case, can you send a message over to support@audient.com and our team can help you troubleshoot.

My id44 arrived yesterday and although it is quite intuitive and I hardly had to configure anything specific yet I am still getting used to it. One thing that strikes me is that both the DAW output and when playing a video or audio file the lights of the VU meter tend to peak at times and usually remain almost at the limit, is this normal or do I have to set it somewhere? I can't figure out where because the DAW output has always been set to 0 and the Mac audio output can't be moved because it is assigned to id44. Otherwise the truth is that I am delighted with it. Edit: I'm not using my speakers, only headphones because I'm not in the studio so the peak thing is not something that I can level down with the big knob.
@Audientworld Жыл бұрын
If the DAW 1+2 meter is clipping in the iD mixer app then the signal level from your audio playback/DAW software is too loud and you may need to just dial it back slightly. It is normal for it to be fairly close to 0dBFS if you are listening to heavily mastered audio,
@avanti6058 Жыл бұрын
@@Audientworld I am confused. In the mixer (iD) the DAW channel 1+2 controls not only the DAW but also the general audio of any device on the computer, so it actually works as a general master, is that right? On the other hand the vumeter of this channel (DAW 1+2) keeps on clipping independently of the fader going down, I mean, the volume does go down but the signal that arrives to this channel in the vumeter is still on top. Is this correct? So the vumeter shows the signal that comes IN to the interface, and the fader modify the signal that comes out? Sorry I'm trying to understand how the signal routing is here, in my previous interface I didn't have to worry about this because the signal of anything was handled by the main knob. Of course by turning down the Logic main output signal for example, I could stop clipping but I never in my life touched the Logic master output signal and I would hate to have to do that.
@Audientworld Жыл бұрын
The DAW1+2 channel just shows anything that is being sent. to output 1+2 of the interface. The meter is pre-fader so it won't show the level change from the fader. If you do need more support with this, send a message with a few screenshots of your setup to support@audient.com and our team can help.

Hi, could you tell me which mic preamplifier would work best with the audient id 44 mk2? When connecting a shure sm7b there is not enough gain.
@Audientworld Жыл бұрын
Just a gain booster, such as a Cloudlifter or FEThead are typically used to give more signal level with an SM7B since they just provide clean gain with not additional character.

Are the analog input channels automatically routed to USB out channels? Like for example if i want to connect a mic to analog input 1 then route it to main mix which basically outputs it to analog out 1 Would i be able to record the same signal on USB/DAW channel 1 simultaneously?
@Audientworld2 жыл бұрын
Yes, Mic 1 will always appear on Input 1 in your DAW. It's not possible to adjust this input routing. You can also monitor this directly by pulling up the fader for Mic 1 which will send it to your Main mix, and on to your speakers/headphones
