Whiteheart, Resurrection Band, Guardian (Awesome band), D&K and many more are gone. Remember seeing sadly Petras Farewell Tour. I still listen mostly to the old bands. Mark Stuart (the lead singer) and Will McGinniss (bass player) now tour as Audio Talks, giving confessions and doing a few songs only a night. Mark Stuart lost his voice a few years back and concerts are not possible for him. It's such a shame; he was Christian music's best frontman and singing package. But he's taken it with grace and is a first-class man, and while he had days of doubt, he remembers who gave him his skills in the first place and he's still willing to be God's Hands & Feet.

I just got home from church. My mom asked what my favorite kind of music is and after I told here, she stole my phone from me, got on KZbin and turned this song on. Im liking it so far. . . the song just finished and I love this song. God bless all in the comments, KZbin, and world.
@CaptainFoufeu8 жыл бұрын
+DC BEASTS Daily Vlogs YT What music did you tell your mom that you liked to where she took your phone? Manowar, Mercyful Fate and Paradise Lost? If you like metal, check out the Christian metal bands of Stryper, Deliverance (Jimmy P. Brown), Whitecross, Leviticus, Bloodgood, Ken Tamplin, Red, Demon Hunter, Vengeance Rising and Metal Church. What about Snoop, Eminem, and Kanye West? If you like hiphop, check out K2S, The Cross Movement, LeCrae, Da' T.R.U.T.H., and Toby Mac (of DC Talk). This might help you find some Christian alternatives to some of the styles of music that are usually hated by all mothers around the world. Just google "Christian metal bands" or "Christian hiphop bands" and you should find some stuff you might like. I just listed some of my favorites to send you in the right direction. Good luck and have fun. Maybe your mom will give you back your phone, too.

That shirt and this song made me think that it'd be the greatest ARROGANCE to say that anybody or anything is 'bigger than Jesus'. Only worldliness and blindness of heart would move to say such a thing, and only foolishness would move anybody to confound momentary popularity with greatness. Yet, Jesus remains as the biggest treasure in heaven and earth, and it is awesome to see that missionaries inside and outside a country have carried and continue to carry the Gospel of Salvation everywhere.

When my mom was a kid the Beatles came out with their controversial statement that they were bigger than Jesus. She grew up Presbyterian and her dad, my Pawpaw, sang bass in a gospel quartet. He went to her and said "I don't want their music in the house after that statement. I will pay you the price of your Beatles records and then I will take them out back and break them." And he did. For that reason, I didn't listen to the Beatles growing up.

I miss these guys. Followed a bunch of their concerts back in the day, just before and after Ben joined and he was a sweetie. He, Bob and Will were very indulgent in a dorky fan's chatting and were so kind. Mark was the only one I never really got to interact much with outside autograph lines, but can't hold that against him. It wasn't snootiness or anything remotely like that, it was just timing and all that, like the time Ben and I crossed paths at Cornerstone and hung out a bit.
