This looks like a really inspiring little tool to work with. Each one of the sounds you've built here could totally serve as the foundation for a track, especially enjoyed the glitchy stuff. I'm realizing I don't think I've heard anyone talking about sound design or sample selection/editing with granular in mind, I'll have to dig into that some more.

Amazing, I love the added functionality. I’ve used Quanta 1 quite extensively, have you noticed if Quanta 2 has affected how long it takes to save a project? Sometimes if I have several instances of Quanta 1 in a session, it will take a minute or so to save the project.

AFAIK. from discussion on the Audiobus forum, there is not a plan to make an iOS version for Quanta 2. Also, Quanta for iPad OS has major bugs that have been known and discussed since Feb, 2022 but not addressed as of the time I am posting this six months later.

One minor note: they opted not to port this one to iOS, although they have promised at least one more update for version 1 (presumably to fix some bugs). I understand the decision, but I’ve been iPad-only for a few years now so I’m pretty gutted about it!

Hopefully the clipping when using tempo sync is fixed. Is there an upgrade price? Cuz 129 for barely any new features (none I cant do on my own ... and minor QOL changes) is _NOT_ worth it at all.

How can I sync Grain with bpm? I think it's important since that parameter can also be used to give rhythm

I'm very surprised by the low amount of visual feedback. Some feedbacks that were missing from the first iteration are present and that's good, but starting at 2:14 we can easily imagine that the random function should be visible right on the waveform so we can see the range of positions from which the grains are picked. Same with the number of grains, grain length and others.

This video was done with a pre-release version of Quanta 2. There is more visual feedback on the wave display in the final version.

Hi, I'm trying to use Quanta 2 on a midi track, but it plays the same pitch (the pitch set as the root note in the VST) no matter what note I write in the ableton piano roll (sometimes if the note is retriggered while the clip is playing, it jumps up an octave and stays there). I've tried disabling MPE mode, restarting etc. but nothing works

I feel like a lot of people who make these kinds of comments don’t have a lot of understanding of what it takes to run a business. Businesses have overhead. They have staff to pay, advertising and marketing costs, costs for web design and hosting, depending on how big the company is they might have an actual physical space where they work and they have to pay rent and utilities, they have equipment costs, etc etc etc. Usually product prices are heavily based on getting all of that stuff paid before hopefully making a little profit and reinvesting in the company. Sometimes things can’t be as cheap as you want them to be, because they’d be breaking even or losing money.

VERY cool features. One might be hard pressed to justify $400 for Lemondrop or a Million (or whatever it is) for a Tasty Bit. I haven't looked but would imagine that the Q-2 feature set might well dwarf its hardware competitors' offerings. Maybe not 'dwarf,' perhaps, but Greater Than, how's that? Also, Korg--with the recent release of OPSIX & WAVESTATE--hard vs Native--has recently demonstrated that DIGITAL is digital.!🙄So, there's that. Save hybrid hardware, HOW could that always NOT have been the case? That was a rhetorical question, the answer being marketing, jobs market and probably the viability of the entire US economy altogether. So, in conclusion, Quanta 2 gets my vote and that's important, seeing as how I am--in present state--a nobody. That could change, however, so take heed! Nice features demo!

Hi Audio Damage, I downloaded the demo of the Quanta 2 and I can't hear it working. When I press the play button located on the Quanta 2 I can only hear the original sound of the sample, but not the effected sound by the synth. Can you fix this issue? I wanted to email you, but I didn't see any email on your website, thank you.

The play button is to audition the sample. It does not play the engine. You need to send the synth MIDI notes to get it to play.

Once I added the sample into the VST, i'm supposed to hear the sample everytime I use the midi keyboard isn't it ? Why is it not working ?

I dont know man I purchased this crap for $129 and no matter what I throw at it everything sounds the same, garbage thin sound.... I guess I'll give it a couple more hours but so far Im not happy at all with this plugin
