This could be an issue with your hardware instead of Vegas itself. You can try using these clips in another program like WMM/Premiere to see if the audio glitches are still happening, that way you can narrow it down to being a hardware issue instead of a Vegas issue. Could be that the hard drive you store Vegas on is so fragmented that the installation has gotten corrupted over time, so you can try defragging and then installing a different version of Vegas, or just re-installing your current copy. One more thing to try is converting your sources into a different format that uses AAC/M4A/WAV audio with another program, maybe Vegas will like those better. Not really sure what else to suggest honestly, but hope you figure this out man, love your YTPs.

I had this same problem with Vegas Pro 12. Plagued my videos for years. Best I was able to do was unlink the video/audio and carefully cut out the audio glitches. Wasn't 100% the solution, but it was the only thing I had. When I got a new laptop, I switched to Pro 14 and I don't have that problem anymore.

I've worked a lot with Vegas before, I'd say this is either some sort of codec issue (because Vegas is absolutely beyond garbage when it comes to audio or video codecs) or it has something to do with your drivers (I used to have a popping noise every time I started a recording, so judging by that I'd say it might also have something to do with that).

I'm also leaning into codecs on your PC, and perhaps the way Vegas converts resources for real-time editing. IMO Vegas '13's feature set has been duplicated by open source video editing packages (Blender)

Vegas 13 is absurdly buggy. Back when I made YTPs, I had the same issue, as well as the preview going out of sync and corruption problems. I would recommend reverting to 12, or advancing to 14 or above.

Do the sounds occur at random? or always in the same spot? also, if you import in the audio, hear the clicks at some spots, delete the audio, then re-import it again, do the clicks occur in the same spots? (I'm trying to figure out if the clicks occur during import (software issue) or at random (hardware issue))

Id say its a codec issue. Looking into codec packs for you bud. I had the same issue with vegas 13 after some windows update. After i installed the codec pack the issue went away.
