Sourav Bose as far as I know, there was a regiment called 'Bengal Regiment' in the Indian army till before Independence. It was dissolved after Independence for reasons unknown to me. Now almost every major Indian state (except the newer states) has a regiment named after it, except Bengal.

Sourav Bose Azad Hind Regiment should be a Pan Indian regiment if it ever gets formed as the Jawans of I.N.A./Azad Hind Fouj came from all parts of this country and were die hard nationalists free from any sort of regionalism,hence the new regiment should be formed in the lines of Brigade of Guards which is the 1st Pan Indian regiment after Independence.I say this as an Indian Bengali Nationalist,Jai Hind!!

Prathmesh Tiwari first of all sir, you don't know me anyway, and I don't want any kind of mislead or misbehaviour from any random stranger .. Well secularism means, where every individual from any religion will live together in a country.. This is a simple literal Meaning of secularism, which Netaji have supported, he had wanted all the individuals from different religion, especially hindu and Muslim to stay together In India.. This what we both(the main person in the conversation thread) wanted to say.. Obviously he is a nationalist but a secular leader as well.

Whatever he was, he never wanted us to fight. His only fight was against those ( corrupted ) leaders who wanted this partition to take place, which eventually happened. And that does not mean he failed, it actually meant, WE THE PEOPLE FAILED HIM, and STILL FAILING willingly because we are biased with a lot of things. . Explaining Netaji with only words like Secular and Nationalist ( or WHATEVER ), would not be considered wise. Because he lived like an outlaw. No rule is applicable for a MAN like Netaji. . He used Communism to form Forward Bloc ( which is on the doorstep of extinction now ) to unite all the Indians beyond their Religions, Casts and other things. And that same man saved Dalai Lama in 1958 for escaping from Tibet. As per the book "The Dalai Lama" by "Thomas Lowell" there is a section which says like this. . -------------------------- Dalai Lama and “GENERAL DEATH” 1959 : An incident in 1959, when Dalai Lama ( at the age of “23” ) had to escape from TIBET and he was escorted to INDIA safely. The matter of fact is, he was helped by an unknown man who is from a tribe lives in “KHAMBA Valley”. This incident is covered in a book “The Dalai Lama” written by an American author “Thomas Lowell”. For better understanding Some excerpts are taken from the book. Dalai Lama said that the existence of Tibet was at stake. Chinese occupiers pretend to be helping us but the situation is much worse. They have guns and they will use it without hesitation. Resist them with caution but “resist”. At first “Mimang” ( don’t know who she / he is )* hoped that passive resistance might have some effect. They remembered “Mahatma Gandhi” and his victory over the British in India. But Gandhi’s technique didn't work here in Tibet. The leaders of passive resistance were shot ( There are enough confidential files released as evidence, by Wikileaks in an archive [ 32 GB ] full of files and pictures, where you will find pictures of monks who are shot to death )*. Finally the monks took the lead and they counselled armed resistance. The farmers from “KHAMBA” valley have sent their representatives and most prominent of all this meetings was a spokesman from the KHAMBA tribe. HIS IDENTITY NEVER BEEN REVEALED. HE called himself as “GENERAL SHIVA” a threatening title, for SHIVA is the GOD of destruction ( transformation ) in the Hindu religion. We may call him as “GENERAL DEATH” as the nearest English equivalent. Once the decision to oppose the reds openly had been agreed upon, “GENERAL DEATH” took the floor. He was the professional military man of the group and so the others looked to him for their strategy. He had a precise and detailed plan of action. 1961 : The book “The Dalai Lama” was tried to be published in India in 1961. But the Book was banned by the government of that time. -------------------------- There are a lot more information HIDDEN in books which are directly linked to Netaji. There is a publication in Kolkata called “Jayasree”. Leela Roy is one of the trusted ones by Netaji. After Netaji’s disappearance, there were a NUMBER of LETTERS written by a man who called himself MAHAKAL. It is believed ( I personally feel it to be true ) that it was Netaji himself who wrote it. Later all ( at least most of them ) those letters were published in a book called “Oi Mahamanab Aashe”. This book is available n Bengali only . And, the strange thing about the book is, it was never even tried to be translated in any other language 😊 -------------------------- Conclusion : This is the same man who modified and used communism to unite India AND, fought against communism in Tibet to free Dalai Lama. This reminds me of a dialogue from the great web series “Bose : Dead / Alive” which states : “Hathiyar Utna Hi Achha Ya Bura Hota Hain Jitna Chalaney Waley Ki Niyat” “A weapon is only as good as the character of it’s wielder.” . In Short : সুভাষ কে বোঝা শক্ত !! ( It's tough to understand Subhas ). He will return. He will return anonymously. Call me delusional, I don't give a fuck. I believe his ideas are enough to make him return, in form of ours. -------------------------- . * My addition, not in the book by Thomas Lowell mentioned above.
