Personally, anytime someone black dives onto the hating black women train, it’s pretty self evident. _Everyone_ has a preference, but the people who feel the need to crow it from the skylines means it’s heading towards fetish territory. To do so while constantly denigrating the people who look exactly like you? Self hate. That being said, my mouth still dropped (4:09) when dude slipped up and said “we”. That’s a CRAZY level of denial, especially at his big age. I grew up in predominantly white schools, so I get it. Elementary and middle school, I’ve definitely wished to be white, but what helped was seeking out diverse spaces filled with people who genuinely love themselves and their culture, and actively see to their growth. Local library groups, joining clubs, starting hobbies that actually excite you enough that you _don’t care_ about what other people think. I think what helped me is realizing that my appearance wasn’t going to change, so might as well do something for myself that I can improve on: learning mental math, meditating, journaling. Anything that leads to self-reflection; so once you know who YOU are, your physical appearance is seen less as a detriment and more as a simple characteristic that will alter with time.

With colonisation and growing up in certain white habitats and with no strong stable household that proudly raises you to love and respect your skin and culture, it's very easy for a non white person to hate themselves or feel inferior. You need a stable foundation of identity otherwise its over.. and I also think there are levels to it. Heavily criticising your people over everything. Wanting to surround yourself in white spaces because you have negative experiences with your own Having certain preferences in dating because one group is "better to manage" or is seen as "more beautiful". I think the weird thing about it is and maybe it's just because the way I was raised but I never been ashamed to be black. You have to remember two things one anybody who talks about their own race in such a disturbing way and I don't care what gender you're talking about I don't care what sexuality you are. At the end day if you are black you are black if you are mixed and you are part black you are black. You can try to hide it you can try to be everything that it's not you can try to be every anti stereotype you want to be. Because to me black is beyond a stereotype. Is a cultural thing because to be honest we are African Americans but we claim black because that's our culture. And this many different avenues to the black culture okay from the way we talk, to the way we dress, to the way we act, to our intelligence. So no I never felt shame for it or being it. What I do feel bad for is people falling into stereotypes and then people trying to use those stereotypes to justify self-hatred and racism especially interracism. Just say you don't like people, just say that you look at every negative aspect that usually is over a personified and you look for that to spread hatred, you look for that to justify your own self hatred. Is one thing to have racism from outside people that is a whole another thing to me to have racism from your own. Like I said there is enough hate for us out there and this is going for anyone rather you are the deepest shape of ebony to the highest brightest neon ivory You are black. At the end of the day anybody you talking to who says you're different, who acts like there is something completely unique about you because you are not acting like a stereotypical black person as they see it is a problem. Because that means God forbid one day you start acting black enough those individuals do not want to f*** with you. And that's on 100% accuracy, be yourself No we don't have to act a certain way No we don't have to talk a certain way, we can a lot of us do me included. But that's a cultural aspect of us and that doesn't mean we lack intelligence. And for all the black men out there attacking black women and black women attacking black men just stop it. You have some bad experiences that don't mean everyone's like that if you always get the same type of person that's a you thing and you have to grow up and look outside of that.
