I completely understand the frustration with a sibling when it comes to duties and responsibilities, especially when it comes to pets and someone physical to take care of.. but I do hope and feel like once you leave and she realizes she has to take care of the dog in order to keep a dog, it’ll come naturally because you can’t really hide from it, and while I completely also understand the concern and worry about what will happen once you’re out and if she doesn’t take care of her knowing your mom also has her own stuff to do, I hope she can take care of Luna and stops avoiding the responsibility because i do truly feel like at some point everyone changes as they grow even with the little parts of life and duties. It’s normal to worry about luna not getting the same treatment and attention but I just hope that your sister will get to learn that herself and maybe find comfort in it too, I mean I get that it might be lonely when your older sibling is gone too so maybe spending time with luna like you did will be a bit fulfilling? Idk but it’s just not fair that you’d worry about this after you’ve moved because if we’re being honest it’s gonna be your future from then on and your studies, there’s no space for that worry and stress so I hope a little conversation could maybe change that

I appreciate your response, and to be completely transparent, a small part of me is hoping for that exact thing. Like you said, I'll have other things to worry about once I move, I can't continue to concern myself over something I'll have very little power to affect. I just care so much about Luna that it's hard not to think about at the moment. I'm sure everyone will be fine once I'm gone, I have a tendency to overthink sometimes.

I was kind of wondering about that with your sister and the dog... But she's young so what you gonna do? I hope Luna will be okay when your gone but 😬 I dont know...

She may be my younger sister, but she's an adult, she's 22. She's also mostly independent, which is why I can't just tell her what to do. She has to want to help, but she doesn't. So I think that's where my frustration lies. We'll figure something out though, I'm sure. I appreciate your concern.
