A small tip on your buss compressor. If you don't want to diminish the low end, turn the HPF knob to about 150hz so it doesn't trigger from below that frequency.

Excellent vedio friend you really solved my problem thanks for making such a wonderful vedio. One question why we should take a refferance audio?
@mikemorris1069
@mikemorris1069 Жыл бұрын
Hello there! For context sake, I have my own channel talking about studio audio. Your question about why we should have a reference audio - it is super helpful to have a reference song which can help you hear how your mastering (or mixing for that matter) sounds compared to the professional one. But not just helping you hear if your mastering track is sounding professional like theirs, but you usually choose the reference track because you want your song to sound somewhat like it STYLISTICALLY. You can then solo the reference track, then solo your track to get a comparison. Through this comparison process you can hear things on your track which needs to be adjusted to help match the reference track you've chosen - you can listen to the quality and creative choices. I hope that helps.

Click the large Export button at the top left of your Cakewalk project, then choose BandLab. The Publish to BandLab dialog (as seen above) will appear, and you can choose exactly how you want your track from Cakewalk to appear in BandLab. Make sure you’re exporting less than 12 tracks under 6 minutes in length. You will either lose tracks or none of the tracks will export if you’re over, as Bandlab does not support exports over that limit yet. Try that. Lemme know if it works.

Tell us about mid side eq
@JimmyFlame
@JimmyFlame Жыл бұрын
Basically, you’re splitting stereo fields into two and EQing each side individually. Boosting highs on each side gives you a wider sound while cutting the mids at the same time helps maintain spectral balance. Works great with all-in instruments like stereo drums for example where you might need to zero in on cymbals or hi-hats to create space and clarity, where low end kick frequencies might interfere with spacing and even change the entire kit’s sound. Or maybe use it to spread out a mono guitar signal or even create an exciter effect in the stereo application while maintaining those important mids just down the middle. Mid Side EQ is a really advanced mixing (and mastering) technique that’s really easy to apply once you get it down. I didn’t cover it in this video because I had beginners with some mastering experience in mind when making it. In short, great idea for another video! Thanks for the comment!

Check your computer’s VST folder and make sure it’s there. Typically, the VST folder is at C:/Program Files/VSTplugins If it’s there you’ll need to rescan the folder in Cakewalk. If not, you’ll need to either a) redownload Cakewalk and during install make sure to pick all the available VSTs including ProChannel (these compressors are ProChannel compressors), or b) open Bandlab Assistant (if you have it), open Cakewalk tab, click the three dots and make sure all the included VSTs are installed. Hope this helps!
