Just wanted to say thanks. I've been restoring audio (as an amateur) for 30+ years, been using RX 7 for three years. I bought / downloaded RX 10 Advanced yesterday after much consideration and have now potentially found the solution for eliminating vinyl record sibilance...plus, I never understood the "Instant Process" feature until watching this video, and now it's so obvious. Such great software!

honestly, especially for RX..you guys should be doing a lot more of these types of videos. It is such a massive tool and while I'm pretty much an "expert" at it compared to most people, I still always feel like i'm leaving a little money on the table. I want this for every module. Great video.

This is great! I usually groan when these "Learn New Tricks" vids come up. This vid is actually really helpful, and the guy is super normal, which is also nice. Most are egomaniacs or super dull. lol Anyhow, thank you.

WOW! this is great stuff, you've probably just given me an extra hour in every week! Thank you so much. Going to go and dig out the other two videos now & see what else I've been missing. The "low end zoom" function alone is going to be massively helpful in my voice-over editing workflow & will save me a huge amount of zooming & scrolling. + I'm really pleased to see so many of these features are still just as valid for my RX8 software.

03:50 re Voice Denoise, Adaptive: Why not leave it on by default? I found the main pros and cons of this nicely explained in the app's help-file (for RX 8 at least, that I currently use). Basically: in Adaptive mode it is more conservative (to reduce chance of artefacts); in manual mode you can tweak the noise floor up closer to the signal (listening out yourself for any artefacts). The following YT video (from 2017, for RX6) illustrates the use of adaptive mode, showing the threshold curve dynamically changing in response to the varying levels of the signal.

Well, you asked, so here are some of my feature requests ;) In the same way that if you hold CMD+scroll or click and hold on the brush tool icon you can change the brush size, do the exact same thing with the magic wand selection tool but for adjusting the threshold. There are many times that the magic wand doesn’t quite catch a harmonic or it catches too many and having a threshold adjustment would be amazing. Another feature I’ve wanted for a while is a way to draw perfect diagonal selection lines with the brush tool. Currently, the best you can do is draw it by hand which is time-consuming and never perfect. Example usage is when trying to remove a siren in the background that slowly ramps up/down. Implementation could be similar to photoshop of doing shift-click and it fills in the selection between two points. You guys added my request for history selective editing in RX9 which I’m over the moon about. Super clever implementation. You guys rock.

Great video, learned a lot - thanks. For my feature request, would be great when I have isolated a repeating problem (door squeak for example) if RX could suggest to fix every other instance of the same pattern using the same module chain from original fix.

Hi, really enjoying your Videos, so thanks for that first of all. I have one question, as you seem to be the Master of RX10. I am trying to polish my intro of each of my Podcasts, and I want to know if there is a way in RX10 of adding an Audio intro track to the front of my already polish Vocal, so that it crosses ie: My vocals come in just at the end of the music, but not a clean stop between the two. Now I have tried the mixing function, but no luck there, and when I choose the option when inserting the short music track, and choose the option where it will insert and mix, it DOES do it .. but it crosses the very first 30 seconds of my vocal ie: They start at the exact same time. I am currently trying to see how to start the Vocal track a bit later, so that when I do choose this option, they should mix perfectly but have yet to succeed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated !! thanks

what's the difference between rx pro for music (in the sub model) and rx advanced from the purchase model? are there any features the pro for music has over advanced?

Hey Geoff, something I've always wondered about is setting a fixed amount for the transport to jump back. I always review any processing I've applied (ex. Spectral Repair) and would like to be able to click a shortcut (ie. on my StreamDeck) to jump back "5" seconds and preview the change I just made. Is this possible? Or could you please put a feature request into "JIRA"? Thanks Geoff!

Hi iZotope, thanks for the Video! I actually have a DREAM Feature Request, which I think would make the cursor behave much better. Give us the option to unlink the cursor position from the selection. Everytime I make a new selection, the cursor jumps to the beginning of it. But I actually want to listen to my edits with a bit of lead in, otherwise it is hard to judge often times. Then, if I move the cursor back to have that lead in time, the selection disappears! That's very cumbersome. So please let us set a cursor position that doesn't change when making a selection. Or let us set a lead in time, so that the cursor always jumps to an offset-time, before the the selection starts. Thanks

Feature Request: How about some adaptive History editing or manual History editing. Let's say I've been using several modules on an interview. I think I'm done, it sounds great, but then I later realize there is one or two phrases or words the person says which sounds awkward in the final version and sounded better in the original file (happened to me just a day ago with some hissing sounds). Now it would be great if I can go back in history and mark regions that should not be affected by my editing (maybe also colorized for better identification) then I go back to the latest history step and those areas only are unedited. Now I'm done or I can tweak those to my liking and don't have to restart from scratch for the whole editing process.

I don’t know how you people also say RX 11 is so amazing. I have it for the first time. I really need to repair distortion in the entire mix for a second no matter what I do, I can never get it to work like you all do Support they never give me any clear answers waste of money and time. It’s just mind-boggling how you all can make this thing work. I can’t make the dclip work if I use the editor and I even do the learning process I hit render next thing I know it’s destroying the wave file down to nothing and all your hear is this garbling sound or render thinking I did something and I don’t hear any change. It’s just I can’t stand this product and I wasted too much money.
