If you remember from Davey’s _Storm Comfort_ audio, when Angel asks Davey to talk about something, anything, he struggles to come up with something to say. He talks about how he was taught to only speak when he has something worth saying. But how does one define the worth of one’s words? They will be subjective to each individual that hears them, one may find them dull where another finds them moving. Towards the end of his _Storm Comfort_ audio, Davey tells Angel “Your words carry weight with me no matter how much or how little you talk. And hopefully, mine do for you too.” (12:37) It seems Davey has accepted that this is a sentiment Angel shares with him. Whereas before Davey struggled to speak with his heart open because he put so much expectation on every emotional interaction he had with Angel, now he can let his heart speak freely like this with no prompting or overthinking. He no longer hesitates to speak for fear that his words will lack meaning with them. His words carry weight with them and that means whatever he has to say is worth saying by default. The character development in these storylines is nothing short of fantastic.

Can we just appreciate that before David would’ve been annoyed at Angel waking him up. He was annoyed enough with them waking him up when the storm was happening but now, even when Angel just couldn’t sleep he woke up, took Angel back to bed and stayed awake with them until they fell asleep. Telling them that they were allowed to wake him up when they couldn’t sleep. Angel and David have come so far and I fucking live for it

He's not my favourite Wolf boyfriend, but Davey's voice is the most relaxing & soothing. More regulating for the vagus nerve. Having an audio reading the PTSD flashback management steps (to ground) in a voice like this would probably be quite effective. I recorded myself recalling them on my phone years a go to listen to if I became triggered suddenly. It stopped me from completely dissociating and spiralling if I managed to catch the trigger before it became overwhelming. There are many people that struggle with this, unfortunately.

I have a head cannon (warning this ones a bit sad) David has two boxes each of them contains stuff that reminds him of his parents and gabe had helped him make the one for his mother when he was like 13 and he made the one for his father a couple weeks after his funeral and he has them both neatly tucked away in a closet, them when Angel finds him looking through them they question what it is and he gets really emotional while explaining what they are and so Angel sits with him in the living room and listens to what each object is and why it reminds David of that parent and now when David is missing his dad him and Angel will look through his dad’s box together and it’s just this really wholesome but bittersweet moment
