I've had mine for seven years also, put them through way more abuse than you (daily use for many hours) and they held up very, very well, perhaps the best of any item I own, excluding things like spoons or pen holders. The pads on mine are absolutely worn down and torn apart, but the rest, and amazingly the cable, is as good as new, no squeaking, still feeling solid. I'm in the market for some new and more expensive headphones but I'm gonna buy some replacement pads and gladly keep my M30x for backup forever.

@@__kvik thanks for the comment. They really are a tough and reliable pair of cans. I still use them whenever I need to plug headphones into something. I have tried the m50x and some others, but I just prefer the 30s :-)

heyy i have them too and mines distort on left side do you know what i can do i called service but they didnt did anything

Hello there. Sorry to hear the left side has gone. Are they too old for services to do anything for you? There are many reasons why it might sound distorted. Without opening them up and having a look it would be hard to say what it is. Could be as simple as a tiny object touching the driver.

Hello. Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately, I don’t quite understand the question.

@@blankBRN If you are asking if they are the genuine headphones, then yes they are. What makes you think they are not?

Maybe he asks how to differentiate the original from the fake one

@@TheMreargasmGood point. I’ve actually never encountered a fake pair of Audio Technica headphones, but I imagine the build quality would be noticeably worse. It would likely be quite creaky and the padding would feel cheap.
