I recently installed dmf lights in my theater room and love them. The difference compared to the previous fixtures that we originally purchased from Lowes is much more noticeable than I expected. The dimming transition from on to off when starting up a movie is much smoother than before and completely elevates the experience. Also, a big plus that they were easy for my husband to install since we already had the canned lights!

How do these compare to GE reveal hd plus. It’s the only light bulb I use because those are the only mass market ones that don’t give me a headache

The DMF lamps have a totally consistent color temp. We have yet to find a mass market lamp that 10 out of 10 look the same

@@AudioAdvice they don’t sell bulbs right for floor lamps or ceiling lamps? I went on their website and try to find bulbs for all my lamps but looks like everything with the seller is a fixture of some kind. It probably has something to do with heat dissipation I suspect.

honest question. isn’t it a bad idea to put your TV that high? your gunna hurt your neck looking up like that. seems like the TV was pit there more because it was convenient and not because thats where a TV should be for proper viewing

Great question. Normally you are exactly right that televisions over mantels can actually be too high. We actually sell an automated device made by Mantel Mount that moves the television forward and down over the mantel and then retracts it. In this particular case, we used a Samsung FrameTV that also turns into artwork when it's off. The other thing about this room though is that it is way deeper than it appears in the video so the viewing angle is not as much as you would think. In cases like this, we either put it as low to the mantel as possible or use the Mantel Mount solution depending on the customer needs and budget.

Lighting is cool. But that home needs update all the wood and leather. My goodness when are they going to stop with the huge fireplace eating up all the floor space. And homes have central heating so why is there a large fire place like it has to heat up the room. And the TV above. Just stop. Enough by now.

You are correct that this home is over 20 years old so we were showing exactly what it looked like before the new lighting fixtures and after.
