I just added 4 of these 18's into my personal reference system. They are now my new reference standard by a wide margin. Absolutely fantastic!

Anyone who is interested in this type of speaker (clear, capable, dynamic, etc) but cannot afford this system please check out the Noesis line from JTR. I have been a happy owner for many years and subsequently purchased my entire 7.2.4 set up from JTR including the JTR Orbit Shifter LFU's which everyone should at least give some consideration. I have been a fan of Jeff Permanian since the say I met him and I am proud to be giving business to an American company who makes quality products with no compromises.

I would be very interested in seeing you review the Tonewinner at-300. A pre/pro at the price point of $1,350 is a game-changer if it is even in the same ballpark, performance wise, as the next closest pre/pros that cost 2 to 3 times as much.

Great video, but something about the new lapel microphone made it very difficult to listen. It sounds very overdriven, or some kind of distortion. I was watching at home on the tv listening on the RBH SVTR towers I have, like yours Gene. It just didn't sound right and was very fatiguing on the ears, sorry.

@Bradimus13 жыл бұрын
It's basically like a high end car audio subwoofer. About as built as it can be (but no money wasted on aesthetics). I expected more weirdness from the midbass and the giant horns. So many drivers and I would have expected problems based on acoustic centers. But maybe you sit back far enough and it's designed well enough there is no problems.
@Audioholics3 жыл бұрын
Not an issue since the 4 x 10" drivers are crossed over low enough. The horn has a coaxial mid/tweet for a point source projection.
@tweedpenguin7122 жыл бұрын
Point source means you don’t have to sit far back as all the drivers are time aligned to hit your ears at the same time.

I have 1 question why dont these new speakers have matching sensitivity? That would be a major selling point for me
@Audioholics3 жыл бұрын
Why would you need to having matching sensitivity between the subs and sat system when they are biamplified? The subs come with a 4kwatt/ch amplifier to run all 4 modules.
@BIGBASSSAMA_43 жыл бұрын
@@Audioholics I'm strictly speaking of his RTJ 410 and RTJ 110 if that makes sense I'm planning on buying jtr 215rt but I would buy these instead if it just only had matching sensitivity for equal sound levels from using M3a-1500M monoblocks
@Audioholics3 жыл бұрын
@@BIGBASSSAMA_4 gotcha but the 110 is a much smaller speaker. It's impossible to have same sensitivity as the 410 unless the 410 gets padded down. Just adjust the gain on your preamp to compensate. Also the surround is typically much closer than the mains at the listening position so that should also help.
@BIGBASSSAMA_43 жыл бұрын
@@Audioholics ok how many monoblocks do I need to power these triple speaker towers if I'm trying have a 9.1(powered with but in amp) but my processor only supports 16ch? I'm not used to stacking speakers let alone figure how to wire up modular speakers. There's gotta be an idiot guide to this lol

@aegisofhonor3 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing, these are REALLY ugly speakers, and a person buying these speakers won't be married cause there's no way any wife in the world would want these massive ugly bricks in their living room; even most serious big spending audiophiles won't want these because of how ugly and "PA" they look.
@christianbolt57613 жыл бұрын
They can bury me in too.
@turbojohngt3 жыл бұрын
Spoiler alert “They’re insanely awesome” every JTR owner 😄
@aegisofhonor3 жыл бұрын
These might sound good but these are very ugly speakers. I really hate the look of the giant square horn driver in the middle, it screams "PA speaker" more at home on a concert stage then in a home and the generic "charcoal black" finish isn't winning any astatic awards either. it would be nice if you could get it in a nice finish and maybe with a smaller horn driver and maybe some rounder corners so it wasn't so massively 'boxy". When you are paying that kind of price for sound, it has to look better then a dirty old PA speaker that a band has been rolling around from town to town for several years no matter how good it sounds. And I can't be even close to the only person who thinks this way about these speakers; these are some of the worst looking speakers at this price range I have ever seen. Heck, those high end RBH speakers right next to them aren't the best looking speakers either, but they are a complete work of art compared to those RTJs next to them with the nice silver tone drivers and glossy finish
@Audioholics3 жыл бұрын
The RTJ system isn't meant to be out on display like the RBH. They are designed for behind baffle wall or acoustically transparent screens. That said, RTJ does offer custom finish options for those that want to display them.
@tweedpenguin7122 жыл бұрын
You pay for sound quality not finish quality like most high end speakers. What’s more important to you? Because I’m not about to drop 5,000 just for looks alone.
