Finally, I have an explanation for the reason my recorded voice sounds unlike me. I love your videos and the way you explain what you are doing, the instruments you are using, and why. Just an FYI I also watch a couple of Indian ENT doctors and there doesn't seem to be the same commitment to be as gentle as possible. The patients are in a serious amount of pain some are even brought to tears during the process. It is very hard to watch especially when it's a child. I fully appreciate your commitment to do no harm.

Back in the ‘80s, one of the core courses we had to take for our bio-medical engineering degree was “traveling wave theory.” Our advisor was doing research into hearing. One day he brought a timpani to class and showed us how sound worked. First he showed us the “pebble in the pond” example, but he then started showing us how additional taps on the surface could either amplify or dampen the sound. Definitely a different phenomenon than electrons moving in the waves of an AC wire. All of it was fascinating. Thank you for an enlightening and fun extraction!
