The free version of Studio One is a great way to start. It does not limit the number of tracks and it doesn't impose any time limits. It has less tools than the bigger versions and it doesn't allow adding other VSTs. The key reason why I recommend it (beside the fact that Studio One a great DAW with superb workflow) is that when you decide to move up to the higher versions, you're already familiar with how it works and you don't have to learn from scratch. I began with the Artist version that comes free with a Presonus interface and eventually moved up to the Professional version when I was ready. I'm pleased with the DAW's capability and work flow and recommend i without reservation.
@Rxisdazed2 жыл бұрын
Heyyy random question how do I get the free version I have a interface
@AudioTechTV2 жыл бұрын
If you have a Presonus interface that comes with Studio One Artist, register it on their website and then you’ll have a link to it in your account page on their site. If you just want the free Studio One Prime, download the demo installer for the full version and then when you get to that’s part that asks if you want to install the demo or continue with the free Studio One Prime, just select that second option and you’ll have studio one prime.

Reaper's "workflow isn't the fastest?" X-D I have Cakewalk installed b/c I use a lot of the plugins in Reaper. One time I decided to force myself to open Cakewalk & create a song from start to finish. An hour later I beame frustrated and bounced everything over to Reaper. I accomplished in 5 minutes what previously took me seemimgly forever. PLUS Reaper has a feature **nobody** else seems to: An option to Override the device sample rate with the project sample rate. Every other DAW makes you change your project sample rate for the sample rate you're using to listen on~! Overriding with the project rate allows me to switch between USB speakers, the PC native soundcard, a USB headset microphone - I can check my music on different speaker systems right at my desk~!

Reaper and Reason 11 are the only DAWs out of the dozens I've tried that I'm able to use. Trying to record a song in Cakewalk is like doing a book report. Hi! I was just recently thinking of making music thank you so much for your vid! I was wondering what program YOU think would be best for making breakcore music (very drum heavy music) as you have more experience with each software!
@AudioTechTVАй бұрын
By drum heavy you probably mean using virtual drum instruments and maybe loops or samples. For me, I would go with Waveform free because you don’t have any track limitations. It comes with a fairly basic drum sampler plugin to get you started but you can add even more into it plus it has good auto stretching capabilities if you need to make loops fit with your project. You can also use the built in sampler to add your own drum samples that you either create or download. And it also has step sequencer functions that can make drum programming easier. And if you need to record some audio into it too, you can easily do that. So yeah that’s the one I’d go for. Good luck!

@AudioTechTV Жыл бұрын
As long as your songs aren’t using copyright material then yes you can upload your music to KZbin or anywhere. Your music is yours and you are free to do what you like with it. It you use Magix Music Maker, it comes with a “Soundpool” you cannot use sounds from the soundpool in music that you plan on monetizing. But if you use virtual instruments or any other instrument that you record into the program then you can monetize it.

If you’re recording the instruments in and using a few VST instruments pretty much any of them will work. I would recommend starting with. Cakewalk and/or Tracktion Waveform because both are free. If you are primarily wanting to use virtual instruments and are going to be programming the midi the FL Studio is an excellent choice. I’m not sure any of them come with instruments and sounds for medieval types of music so you would have to find those for yourself and add them in which is easy to do.

does anyone know which free daw is best for replicating music from other video games
@anactualhorseonyoutube Жыл бұрын
tbh I might go with lmms
@AudioTechTV Жыл бұрын
Replicating the sound of a game would come down to the instruments used and not so much the program used to program the instruments. I know a lot of game music producers use Native Instruments Komplete which is a huge bundle of great instruments. And you can add those to any DAW that allows third party plugins. There are also a ton of free instruments that you can download too and of course to polish the sound you would need some effects. Lots of feee ones out there. There are probably game music producers that use Pro Tools, some that use Logic Pro, some that use Cubase, some that use FL Studio, and on and on. Find a program that you’re comfortable with using and then try to add some instruments and effects to replicate the sounds that you’re after.

@AudioTechTV2 жыл бұрын
I’m not familiar with NCH Mixpad. But what your friend will want are stems. If you have your song all put together in NCH, what you can do is save the audio from each track individually. Ideally make each track the length of the entire song that way it will be easy for your friend to put everything together in Pro Tools. So even if something doesn’t play for the entire song, export it as the same length as the entire song. If All of your tracks are the same length then your friend will just need to put each one on it’s own track in Pro Tools and they will line up perfectly. You should be able to Solo one track at a time and export it. Do that for each individual track and it should work out. Be sure to name the tracks whatever they are to make it easier on your friend.
@Watzgood2.02 жыл бұрын

I'm here for two reasons. 1. My "Rap is Crap" video where I should include a parody rap of my own making oughtta have a good beat or obnoxious one at least. 2. I have for years been considering creating serious music despite not being good at music ever since learning the kid's version of Titanic for the piano. I have a plan to do a very amazing series of unexpected sound escalations in a ladder culminating in a grand climax dive with loops and stuff, if you know what I mean.

The First one already didn't Work .. after your free Trial a surprise ist waiting (Not suprising If you read the FAQs of course) soo... Nice Work bro😂

The first one is called Tracktion Waveform Free. The word Free is literally in the name of it. They have another version called Waveform Pro and that one costs money. You can download a trial of Waveform Pro but Waveform “Free” is always free, not a trial. Nice work understanding… 😂🤣😂

@@christossideris7971 you still don’t understand. I will try to make this easier for you: - you have downloaded Waveform Pro which is a trial until you pay. - you need to get “Waveform Free” this is the FREE version. That’s why the name is actually “Waveform Free” because it’s FREE. - if you get the trial of the pro version, you can register a copy of the FREE version on their website and then in the Waveform program you can login using the email and password that you used to register Waveform FREE then this will turn it into Waveform FREE. - just to repeat. You need the program that is actually called “Waveform Free” NOT the one called “Waveform Pro”. - you need to register Waveform FREE on their website and this will unlock the unlimited Waveform FREE program that hundreds of thousands of other people have managed to figure out and use.

just a quick question! are these apps safe?

Most of these are from big reputable companies. If you’re wondering if they are safe from viruses and hacking, I would say yes. I’ve installed each one of them and haven’t had any issues but if you are concerned about that then do a little research into each program or company before you download and make your decision based on what you find. I know there are a lot of troll posts out there that will tell you programs installed viruses and things so keep that in mind that you may see 1 or 2 posts like that but for the most part you’ll see that there are lots of users for each of these programs and these users wouldn’t stick around if the programs installed viruses. Be sure to download any of the programs directly from the companies website and not from a third party site as that would be the safest option and you’ll also get the latest version that some other site may not have.
